The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to serve as our Senior Director, Global Head of Adversarial Abuse & Analytics. This is a critical role within our Trust and Safety organization, responsible for safeguarding our platform against bad actors and ensuring the integrity of the user experience. You will lead high-performing teams dedicated to detecting, preventing, and mitigating adversarial behaviors such as account takeovers, spam, engagement manipulation, and policy evasion.

This position offers the unique opportunity to drive strategic initiatives that protect millions of users worldwide while working at the forefront of online safety innovation. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners across Product Management, Engineering, Global Operations, and Policy Development to build robust detection systems, develop scalable enforcement mechanisms, and deliver data-driven insights that inform business strategy.

Key Responsibilities

As the Senior Director, Global Head of Adversarial Abuse & Analytics, you will be entrusted with comprehensive oversight of our adversarial abuse prevention efforts and business analytics capabilities. Your leadership will be instrumental in shaping the future of trust and safety at arenaflex. Here are the core responsibilities you will undertake:


  • Strategic Leadership: Lead the Adversarial Abuse team responsible for identifying and removing bad actors attempting account takeovers, spam, engagement manipulation, evasion of termination, and other malicious activities. Oversee the Business Analysis team tasked with generating insights, measuring undetected abuse, and publishing Transparency Reports for countries around the globe.

  • Risk Anticipation: Understand, anticipate, and intelligently moderate risks arising from new and scaling industry trends, including emerging technologies such as generative artificial intelligence and evolving threat landscapes.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Policy Development team to create policies leveraging account, social, and content signals to characterize harmful behavior. Partner with Product Management and Engineering to improve detection capabilities and build advanced tooling.

  • Operational Excellence: Drive effective and efficient operational performance—including quality and service level metrics—in a global team operating 24×7. Ensure consistent delivery of results while maintaining high standards of accuracy and responsiveness.

  • Talent Management: Attract, retain, manage, and develop top-tier talent within your organization. Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Escalation Management: Handle high-priority escalations with rapid turnaround times, providing data and content-driven insights. Implement solutions while building relationships with key cross-functional partners to support the launch of new products and policies that effectively prevent adversarial abuse.

  • Transparency Reporting: Oversee the development and distribution of transparency and compliance reports for regulatory bodies and governments worldwide, ensuring accountability and fostering public trust.

  • On-Call Leadership: This role requires periodic on-call availability, including appearing on weekends and holidays on a rotational basis to address critical incidents and emerging threats.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must bring a combination of education, experience, and leadership capabilities that demonstrate your ability to tackle complex challenges in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess:


  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent practical experience demonstrating analytical proficiency and business acumen.

  • A minimum of two years of experience in risk management, fraud fighting at scale, and building and delivering analytical experiences that drive measurable business outcomes.

  • Two years of experience working collaboratively with engineering teams to build data infrastructure and develop machine learning models that power detection and prevention systems.

  • Two years of experience leading teams through periods of accelerated demand, demonstrating the ability to work non-standard weeks and adapt quickly to evolving priorities.

  • Proven ability to navigate ambiguity while maintaining focus on strategic objectives and delivering results under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications will strengthen your candidacy and help you excel in this role:


  • An advanced degree in a related field such as statistics, engineering, data science, or business analytics.

  • Two years of experience conducting analysis of large-scale datasets and applying anomaly detection techniques to identify emerging threats.

  • Demonstrated experience or expressed interest in anti-abuse operations, content moderation, or trust and safety initiatives.

  • Technical proficiency in SQL, R, or Matlab for data analysis and statistical modeling.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and executive communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional partners at all levels of the organization.

  • Excellent business judgment, strategic thinking, and analytical capabilities—including the ability to leverage data to drive strategy and business action. Experience working in a rapidly changing industry with the capacity to manage ambiguity while minimizing uncertainty through quantitative insights.
