Position Overview

We're currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Engineer to join our Technology division. Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Data Engineer at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining our enterprise data infrastructure. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to derive actionable insights from complex datasets and drive data-informed decision making across all levels of the organization.

Design and Implementation: Architect and implement complex, large-scale data solutions that meet both functional and non-functional business requirements, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.

Data Pipeline Development: Build robust infrastructure for efficient extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from diverse sources using modern cloud technologies, primarily AWS and SQL technologies.

Process Optimization: Identify, plan, and execute internal process improvements, including re-architecting infrastructure for greater scalability, enhancing data delivery mechanisms, and automating manual processes to improve operational efficiency.

Analytics and Insights: Develop analytical tools and frameworks to leverage the data pipeline, providing valuable insights into key business performance metrics including operational efficiency, customer acquisition, and revenue growth.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders across data, design, product, and executive teams to understand their data infrastructure needs and provide technical solutions to data-related challenges.

Vendor Management: Collaborate with various external vendors, assisting in providing them with effective solutions and insights while ensuring seamless integration with our internal systems.

Technical Leadership: Lead and provide expertise to functional project teams, participating in cross-functional initiatives and guiding teams on best practices for data engineering and architecture.

Innovation and Development: Create or modify hardware and technology solutions to serve evolving business needs, staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Problem Resolution: Handle complex issues that require thorough examination of circumstances or information, performing in-depth assessment of multiple factors to develop effective solutions.

Additional Duties: Perform other work responsibilities as directed by supervisory personnel.

Essential Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field is required.

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Technical Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and SQL technologies, including database design, query optimization, and performance tuning.

Data Pipeline Expertise: Demonstrated experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines and data warehousing solutions.

Programming Skills: Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java, Scala, or similar) for data processing and automation.

Authorization: U.S. citizenship or current authorization to work in the United States is required. No current or future work authorization sponsorship is available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.

Experience with big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka.

Knowledge of data modeling best practices, including dimensional modeling and data vault methodologies.
