Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various therapeutic modalities and a commitment to providing high-quality mental health care. This role involves working with diverse populations, including children and families, to promote emotional well-being and support individuals in their journey toward mental health recovery.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions tailored to the unique needs of clients.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices such as Behavioral Therapy to guide treatment plans.
  • Perform thorough assessments and evaluations to determine appropriate therapeutic interventions.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Engage in case management activities to coordinate care and resources for clients.
  • Collect data on client progress and outcomes to inform treatment adjustments.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions, fostering a supportive environment for shared experiences.
  • Implement specialized therapies as appropriate for clients' needs.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
    ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Meet with clients for counseling and maintain a client caseload (available options for visits include in-office and virtually through telehealth).
  • Conduct intakes and psychosocial assessments.
  • Diagnose symptoms and recommend appropriate interventions.
  • Complete clinical documentation per agency standards, government policies, and CARF requirements.
  • Communicate and collaborate with staff members and its affiliate organizations for scheduling, documentation, and client care.
  • Assist with mental health emergencies as needed.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
  • Valid state licensure or certification as a Mental Health Therapist in the State of Maryland. (LMSW, LCSW, LGPC, etc)
  • Experience in Child Family Counseling is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of case management practices and familiarity with medical records management.
  • Previous experience in group therapy settings is a plus.
