About the Position: Member Services Representative

This exciting opportunity is with the Payments and Digital Strategy team at arenaflex. As a Member Services Representative, you will be responsible for daily functions related to checking processing, item processing, direct bills, and fund transfers at our organization. You'll play a critical role in ensuring smooth financial operations while delivering exceptional service to our valued members.

This is a remote position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home in Texas while still being an integral part of our team. We provide all the necessary tools and equipment to ensure you have everything you need to succeed in this role.

What You Will Do

As a Member Services Representative at arenaflex, your responsibilities will include:


  • Complete data entry and balancing functions with precision and attention to detail, ensuring all financial records are accurate and properly maintained.

  • Coordinate return items with members, external vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other financial institutions to resolve issues efficiently and professionally.

  • Assist other departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and related Accounting standard ledger balancing to maintain operational excellence across the organization.

  • Work member cases and activities assigned to your queue, ensuring timely resolution and exceptional service delivery.

  • Follow and maintain guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and guidelines and Federal Banking laws, protecting both the organization and our members.

  • Process loan payments, multi-account and member deposits, credit card payments, and other checks, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff checks with accuracy and efficiency.

  • Review, analyze, and approve Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other image-enabled products to ensure proper processing and compliance.

  • Log, analyze, and make necessary GL, account changes and/or returns to maintain financial integrity.

  • Process Stop Pays and Check Batching operations in accordance with established procedures and timelines.

  • Complete daily balancing and department closing activities to ensure accurate end-of-day reporting.

  • Obtain information from members for the timely and correct processing of international and domestic fund transfer requests.

  • Research and confirm incoming and outgoing fund transfer data to prevent errors and ensure transaction accuracy.

  • Communicate with vendors to process fund transfers efficiently and resolve any issues that may arise.

  • Understand and be familiar with outgoing and incoming fund transfer laws and regulations to ensure compliance.

  • Deposit check returns, report member returned items on draft changes, process member checks, confirm members for outgoing fund transfers, and verify and release fund transfers through the Federal Reserve.

  • Complete daily processing of workflows related to overdue returns, supply of receipts, foreign collections, and legal holds.

The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and confidentiality of all accounts and associated data that are part of their work and for ensuring that their work is in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act.

What You Will Need for Success

Minimum Qualifications


  • High school degree or GED equivalent

  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word experience

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Basic mathematical skills and ability to analyze data accurately

  • Ability to work extended hours in support of business needs

  • Must pass relevant arenaflex and Credit Union pre-hire compliance exams

Preferred Qualifications


  • Previous customer or member service experience in a financial services environment

  • Previous banking or Credit Union experience

  • Familiarity with Episys/Symitar systems and wire processing

  • Experience with fraud detection and resolution

  • Knowledge of NACHA regulations and Federal Banking laws

Compensation and Benefits

  • Hourly Rate: $22 - $35 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications
