Position Overview

The Quality Control Standards Data Analyst Intern will play a pivotal role in driving a culture of safety, efficiency, and innovation within the Quality Control department. This position is designed for a detail-oriented and analytically minded individual who is eager to learn and contribute to meaningful work. You will assist in identifying statistical trends and performance metrics that help improve our quality control processes, ultimately supporting arenaflex's goals of maintaining low costs, modernizing operations, and enhancing compliance.

During your 12-week internship, you will work alongside experienced professionals, gain exposure to real-world data analysis challenges, and develop skills that will serve as a strong foundation for your career. Key Responsibilities

As a Quality Control Standards Data Analyst Intern, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that contribute to the overall success of the Quality Control team. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:


  • Data Collection and Validation: Assist the Quality Control team in collecting, validating, and performing root cause analysis on data elements. You will ensure data integrity and accuracy, which are critical to informed decision-making.

  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Help create and deliver results from complex data analyses for both technical and non-technical audiences. You will learn to translate data insights into actionable recommendations that drive business improvements.

  • Ad Hoc Analysis: Support investigating critical ad hoc requests arising from emerging operational issues. Your analytical findings will help senior leadership make informed business decisions while balancing existing project responsibilities.

  • Data Visualization: Present insights, trends, and potential recommendations using data visualization tools. You will create compelling visual representations that facilitate partner understanding and support data-driven decision-making.

  • Query Development: Assist in developing and distributing specific queries to pull and integrate data from various sources. You will establish rhythms and validate data requirements to ensure consistency and reliability.

  • Process Improvement: Identify process anomalies through audits and reviews, and communicate findings to the team. You will evaluate the effectiveness of processes and methodologies by monitoring for trends and deviations.

  • Compliance Focus: Ensure that a compliance mindset is at the center of every decision, supporting organizational goals while maintaining regulatory standards.

  • Additional Duties: Perform other job-related responsibilities as directed by your team leader, providing flexibility and exposure to various aspects of the Quality Control function.

Qualifications and Requirements

Essential Qualifications:


  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program, preferably in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related field.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze large amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present ideas to diverse audiences.

  • Proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to assess business issues, identify opportunities, and translate resulting metrics into actionable insights.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and work independently.

  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, or QuickBase.

  • Previous internship, capstone project, or coursework experience in a related field.

  • Familiarity with creating presentations using PowerPoint for verbal communications.

  • Understanding of root cause analysis methodologies and process improvement techniques.

  • Experience working on large business initiatives or cross-functional projects.

Internship Details


  • Position Type: Full-time Summer Internship (12 weeks)

  • Duration: May 21, 2024 – August 9, 2024

  • Location: Corporate Headquarters in Dallas, TX

  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week

  • Work Environment: In-person at Corporate Grounds with flexibility for up to 50% remote work. Interns are expected to be on-site for team-related events and collaborative activities.

  • Compensation: Competitive hourly rate of $28/hour
