About the Role: Passenger Service Agent

As a Passenger Service Agent at arenaflex, you will be the face of our company, interacting directly with airline passengers and ensuring their travel experience is smooth, comfortable, and memorable. This is a dynamic role that requires excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and the flexibility to handle various situations that may arise during airport operations.

You will play a crucial role in maintaining our reputation for exceptional customer service while working collaboratively with our ground handling teams, flight crews, and airport vendors. Key Responsibilities

As a Passenger Service Agent, your primary responsibilities will include:


  • Passenger Check-In Services: Efficiently check in passengers and their luggage at both the ticket counter and gates, ensuring all documentation is accurate and proper baggage handling procedures are followed.

  • Customer Concern Resolution: Patiently and professionally handle customer concerns, complaints, and inquiries related to ticketing issues, baggage handling problems, and flight disruptions with empathy and effective problem-solving skills.

  • Information Desk Services: Knowledgeably answer inquiries regarding flight schedules, fares, routes, and other questions that passengers may have, providing accurate and timely information.

  • Gate Announcements: Make clear and professional announcements at the gate and over the general PA system regarding flight activity, delays, boarding procedures, and other important information.

  • Communication Coordination: Serve as the critical communication link responsible for all flight movement messages between the gate, ground handling team, flight crew, and airport vendors to ensure smooth operational coordination.

  • Operational Support: Assist with various ground operations tasks as needed to ensure efficient airport and airline operations.

  • Safety Compliance: Maintain the highest regard for safety in all aspects of your work, following all established protocols and procedures.

Essential Qualifications:


  • Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.

  • Communication Skills: Demonstrated strong communication skills to interact professionally with passengers, team members, and station leadership in person, by phone, and through written correspondence.

  • Computer Proficiency: Proficient computer skills including the ability to learn and operate various passenger service and reservation systems.

  • Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required for some airport locations).

  • Background Check Clearance: Ability to pass a comprehensive drug screen and obtain airport security clearance, which includes an extensive 10-year employment, criminal record, and residence background check.

  • COVID-19 Vaccination: If applying for San Francisco (SFO) location, proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 with a vaccine recognized by the CDC is required for employment.

Preferred Skills & Competencies:


  • Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or aviation services is highly desirable.

  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure, especially during flight delays or irregular operations.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly on your feet.

  • Multi-lingual capabilities are a plus, especially in diverse airport markets.

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

  • Understanding of airport operations and airline procedures is beneficial but not required – we provide comprehensive training!

Physical Requirements

Candidates must be able to perform the following physical requirements of the job:


  • Lift up to 70 pounds (32 kg) on a regular basis as part of baggage handling duties.

  • Stand, lift, bend, push, and pull on a frequent basis throughout your shift.

  • Perform these physical activities for extended periods and sometimes under time pressure.

  • Work in an environment with jet engine and machinery noises, requiring appropriate hearing protection.

  • Airlines operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so team members must be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
