We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Professional Data Entry Keyer to join our growing team. Position Overview

As a Data Entry Keyer at arenaflex, you will become an integral part of a functional team that prides itself on getting things right the first time. You will work independently with minimal supervision, handling a variety of documents including work orders, shipping orders, and customer service records. Your keen eye for detail and commitment to accuracy will ensure that our data systems remain consistent, reliable, and aligned with our high operational standards.

This role offers a balanced mix of data entry responsibilities and administrative duties, providing variety throughout your workday. We understand that extended data entry work can become repetitive, which is why we have incorporated filing, copying, and other administrative tasks to keep your days engaging and to maintain your focus and precision.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities as a Data Entry Keyer will include:


  • Document Processing: Read and interpret customer orders and shipping orders submitted through multiple channels—in person, via print catalog, and through our online ordering system. You must be capable of deciphering handwriting that may sometimes be difficult to read.

  • Data Entry: Accurately key data into specific Microsoft Excel fields and other computer systems. Approximately 10% of orders arrive in person, 15% come through the catalog, and the remaining 75% are submitted online.

  • Source Document Review: Read and key in data from various other source documents, ensuring completeness and accuracy in all entries.

  • Data Verification: Verify that all information is accurate before entering it into the system, cross-referencing details to ensure consistency.

  • Data Consistency Maintenance: Ensure data remains consistent throughout the system—for example, when a customer relocates, you will verify that the new address is updated across all pertinent records.

  • Error Reporting: Promptly report any data errors, anomalies, or discrepancies to your supervisor for resolution.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and updated logs of ongoing work, tracking progress and ensuring traceability.

  • Administrative Support: Perform filing, copying, and other administrative duties for approximately three hours daily, with the remaining five hours dedicated to data entry keying tasks.

Required Qualifications & Skills

To succeed in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications:


  • Microsoft Office Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Advanced Excel skills are particularly important for this position.

  • Reading Comprehension: Excellent reading comprehension skills to accurately interpret various document types and handwriting styles.

  • Critical Thinking: Ability to analyze information, identify inconsistencies, and make sound decisions regarding data accuracy.

  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks, maintain systematic records, and meet deadlines.

  • Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and report issues effectively.

  • Patience and Persistence: Demonstrated patience for repetitive work with sustained attention to detail over extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications will enhance your candidacy:


  • Bilingual Skills: Reading knowledge of English and Spanish, as approximately 5-10% of our orders are received in Spanish.

  • Experience: One to two years of previous experience in data entry and/or filing positions.
