What You'll Do

As a Cargo Operations Agent at arenaflex, you will be at the heart of our ground operations, ensuring the smooth handling of cargo and mail from arrival to departure. Your responsibilities will include:

• Operating Ground Support Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate equipment such as tugs, forklifts, and tow tractors to move cargo and mail around the facility. This includes navigating areas of high congestion with precision and care.


• Loading and Unloading: Physically handle cargo and mail, loading and unloading from aircraft, trucks, and storage areas. This involves repetitive tasks including lifting, carrying, bending, stooping, twisting, standing, and walking throughout your shift.


• Cargo Transportation: Transport cargo and mail to and from aircraft, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to tight schedules. You will be responsible for maintaining on-time shipments that are critical to our operations.


• Safety and Security: Practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational procedures and techniques while working under time constraints. Protect cargo and mail from damage, loss, and weather-related issues.


• Documentation and Technology: Operate scanners and computer systems to ensure accurate routing of mail and cargo to their intended destinations. Maintain precise records of all shipments handled.


• Quality Control: Regularly inspect cargo on carts and pallets to ensure each shipment reaches its destination intact and on schedule.

Schedule and Work Environment

Cargo Operations Agents at arenaflex are scheduled to work between 20 to 40 hours per week, with flexible shifts that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. We operate around the clock, which means our team members may be scheduled for any shift, including early mornings, late nights, and everything in between. You must be willing to work in all weather conditions, both indoors in our warehouses and outdoors on the tarmac. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining focus and accuracy.

What We're Looking For (Minimum Qualifications)

To be successful in this role, you must meet the following requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age


• Have a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency


• Possess a valid driver's license


• Be able to safely operate a forklift, baggage tug, and tow tractor


• Be proficient in English with excellent oral and verbal communication skills


• Have basic computer skills


• Be able to follow detailed job instructions and project a professional image


• Be willing to work a fixed and/or rotating schedule including afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays


• Be capable of working in diverse climates, both outside and inside the warehouse


• Able to regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds


• Able to occasionally lift and carry items weighing between 50 and 70 pounds


• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States


• Must be willing to wear required company-approved personal protective equipment (PPE), including hearing protection, safety-toe shoes, protective headwear, and high-visibility safety apparel

Additional Requirements

• Obtain and maintain an airport badge with a customs seal
