What You'll Do
As a Lead Data Engineer, you will be responsible for driving the design and implementation of our data platform infrastructure. This role offers the chance to work on complex technical challenges while leading a team of talented engineers. Here's what you can expect:
Technical Leadership
- Lead cross-functional teams of engineers to build software for large-scale data processing environments supporting both real-time and batch data flows
- Architect and implement data solutions that underpin all analytical and operational data flows across the organization

Platform Development

- Implement best practices for data quality, governance, and security
Team Excellence
- Drive software engineering and architecture best practices within the team and across the organization

What We're Looking For
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience in data engineering or related fields
- Strong proficiency in Python and Scala programming languages
- Deep experience deploying and operating cloud-based data solutions, preferably AWS
- Expertise with infrastructure-as-code frameworks such as Terraform
- Strong understanding of data architecture principles and best practices
- Ability to analyze technical details deeply while understanding overall system architecture
- Commitment to software craftsmanship and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
- Experience maintaining real-time data infrastructure including Kinesis or Kafka
- Expertise with workflow scheduler tools such as Airflow
- Experience with distributed systems and large-scale data processing
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance requirements
- Experience with machine learning pipelines and MLOps practices
