We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and analytically skilled Prescriber Assessment Coordinator to join our team in a remote capacity. Position Overview


As a Prescriber Assessment Coordinator at arenaflex, you will be instrumental in supporting our prescriber evaluation and assessment processes. This role involves reviewing and organizing Prescriber Evaluation Referral Forms (PERF), gathering internal and external prescribing data, and coordinating prescriber and patient communications within specific time frames. You will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of our prescription management systems while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Duties



  • Prescriber Assessment Support: Assist in the prescriber assessment process by reviewing and organizing Prescriber Evaluation Referral Forms (PERF), ensuring accuracy and completeness of all documentation.

  • Data Coordination: Gather internal and external prescribing data and coordinate prescriber and patient mailings within unique time frames to meet critical deadlines.

  • Communication Management: Create and enable the release of COMPASS and RHM communications, maintaining precise records and ensuring proper documentation.

  • Reporting & Analysis: Generate ad hoc reports for the prescriber assessment team and assist in presentations to the Integrity and Patient Safety teams.

  • Policy Support: Secondarily support the Good Faith Dispensing policy administration and contribute to policy implementation and updates.

Controlled Substance Monitoring



  • Order Analysis: Research and analyze controlled substance orders placed manually at the store level to identify potential discrepancies.

  • Suspicious Activity Detection: Determine if orders are suspicious based on ordering patterns and circumstances, taking appropriate actions to educate personnel on correct ordering approaches.

  • Regulatory Reporting: Generate reports and provide data to DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) dealers on store dispensing patterns, and prescriber or patient profiles within a forty-eight-hour window.

  • Database Queries: Build ad hoc queries to pull data outside of regular reporting requirements to support ongoing investigations and compliance initiatives.

  • Knowledge Maintenance: Maintain up-to-date understanding of controlled substance ordering processes, Good Faith Dispensing policies, and DEA licensing requirements.

Field Support & Collaboration



  • Technical Assistance: Assist stores and field supervision with questions through email and contact on various related topics.

  • Audit Support: Assist analysts in developing and reviewing store audits for controlled substance losses.

  • Loss Documentation: Collaborate with Pharmacy Managers and Supervisors to ensure that losses are reported within the required time frame and with 100% accuracy.

  • Prescriber Ticket Management: Manage prescriber fee ticket decision system. Validate and update prescriber data. Collaborate with Pharmacists to ensure that any prescription blocking is legitimate.

Allocation & Risk Management



  • Allocation Analysis: Research and analyze requests for increases to controlled substance allocations.

  • Decision Making: Make informed decisions based on collaboration with Pharmacy Managers, Supervisors, and object vendors.

  • Risk Mitigation: Mitigate danger to the organization by ensuring that due diligence is completed and documented thoroughly.

  • Policy Implementation: Assist in the implementation and updating of the Good Faith Dispensing and Target Drug Good Faith Dispensing policies.

Technical Support



  • Database & Reporting: Utilize skills in Excel and PowerPoint and the ability to query databases to support analysts in the creation of presentations and training for store workforce and supervision.

  • System Utilization: Leverage internal systems to extract, analyze, and present data supporting various organizational initiatives.

Essential Qualifications

Education & Experience



  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a pharmacy technician

  • Required certification as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) granted by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)

Technical Skills



  • Experience with prescriber licensing requirements including NPI (National Provider Identifier), DEA, and state licenses

  • Intermediate level capabilities in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

  • Experience with querying databases to extract and analyze data

  • Experience with reading and reporting data to identify problems, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of outcomes and find solutions

Communication Skills



  • Experience communicating effectively (written and verbal) as appropriate for the needs of the audience

  • Ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation

Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience with internal arenaflex systems including SIMS and IC+

  • Experience with controlled substance ordering processes within arenaflex (PDQ's, RxQuick Order, and Passport)

  • Prior experience in regulatory compliance or auditing roles

  • Familiarity with state pharmacy regulations and federal controlled substance laws

Compensation & Benefits
