Position Overview

The Senior Director of Data Analytics will be responsible for coordinating and leading our analytics initiatives to achieve business objectives and deliver measurable monetary and quality outcomes. This role will have a substantial impact on both short-term and long-term results, directly influencing our customers, partners, and stakeholders. You'll serve as the central point of contact for cross-functional teams and work closely with senior leadership to develop and execute data-driven strategies that propel arenaflex forward.

Key Responsibilities


  • Strategic Framework Development: Build and establish standard frameworks and methodologies for approaching major strategic initiatives, leveraging existing resources while creating innovative solutions across the organization.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as a central point of contact for cross-functional teams and serve as the primary liaison with internal and external partners in developing and implementing strategic frameworks.

  • Stakeholder Partnership: Develop effective working relationships with key stakeholders to achieve designated goals and implement strategic solutions that align with business objectives.

  • Business Needs Translation: Partner cross-functionally to translate and define business needs for your area of responsibility, executing against strategic priorities with precision and efficiency.

  • Strategic Roadmap Development: Collaboratively develop procedures and actionable roadmaps to meet organizational goals, expanding short-and long-range strategies, plans, and measurable objectives.

  • Policy and Process Management: Manage the execution of policies, processes, and procedures that have significant impact on the organization, ensuring alignment with overall business strategy.

  • Operational Planning: Make recommendations for the development of strategic and operational plans for your area of responsibility, adapting operational plans based on prevailing circumstances to achieve optimal results.

  • Executive Communication: Share complex information related to area of expertise and engage with senior management to stay informed about organizational objectives. Communicate with direct reports and peers to interpret information and improve cross-functional processes.

  • Relationship Building: Work with external vendors and third parties to develop and maintain positive relationships, building and enhancing both internal and external partnerships.

  • Goal Setting and Performance: Set financial, operational, and quality goals, developing and supervising operational plans for your area of responsibility to ensure consistent performance and continuous improvement.

  • Market Analysis: Ensure growth and improvement of customer awareness, market share, and designated initiatives by reviewing the competitive marketplace and recommending adjustments to operational and strategic activities based on identified information.

  • Budget Management: May develop budgets for designated areas of responsibility and deliver against business goals and targets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and resource optimization.

  • Performance Analysis: Analyze performance drivers, proactively determine strategic direction, and contribute to identifying solutions for mitigation and improvement to achieve overall business objectives.

  • Team Leadership: Lead teams responsible for daily operations, overseeing and coordinating the work of managers, senior directors, and their subordinates. Obtain and allocate resources to meet operational plans, ensuring the ongoing training and development of direct reports.

  • Mentorship and Development: Develop and mentor staff through onboarding, open communication, training, development opportunities, and performance management processes. Build and maintain employee morale and motivation while fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Essential Qualifications


  • Minimum of 2 years of experience establishing and maintaining strategic relationships with internal (peers, colleagues, and leadership) and external (business community, clients, and vendors) stakeholders within a network organization to develop strategies that meet division objectives within budget and timelines.

  • Proven experience developing strategic initiatives that align with business objectives and budget constraints.

  • Experience identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve challenges effectively.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive collaborative outcomes.

  • Strong executive-level communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.

  • Experience managing client-facing programs and building lasting partnerships.

  • At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace, including budget development and resource allocation.

  • At least 2 years of direct management, indirect leadership, and/or cross-functional team leadership experience.

  • Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time for business purposes, both within state and out of state.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Master's degree or MBA in a related field.

  • Experience with advanced coding languages such as SAS, SQL, C++, or similar programming languages.

  • Proficiency in system integration platforms including Masters, Vendavo, Vistaar, Salesforce.com, SharePoint, Wikis, and other enterprise systems.

  • Experience using business intelligence tools to support data analysis, including Business Objects, Cognos, Tableau, Masters, or similar platforms.

  • Certification as a Salesforce Administrator or Developer.

  • Proven experience in coaching, mentoring, and training less senior colleagues to enhance their professional growth.

  • Experience designing and executing financial models to support complex business initiatives.

  • Excellent communication skills with executive-level leadership, both internally and with client organizations.

  • Project management experience, including planning, organizing, and managing resources to achieve specific project goals and objectives.

  • Experience with systems such as Cure and GIS is preferred.

  • Strong background in data extraction, data mining, data acquisition, data profiling, data warehouse management, and statistical concepts.
