Position Overview
We are looking for a proactive and self-motivated Technical Business Analyst with a strong background in Marketing Technology (MarTech), Advertising Technology (Ad Tech), and Customer Data Platforms (CDPs). In this role, you will serve as a critical bridge between our marketing teams, data engineering departments, and product stakeholders, ensuring seamless implementation and optimization of our MarTech stack.
The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Adobe Experience Cloud products, comprehensive understanding of customer data platforms, and proven experience in eliciting, documenting, and translating business requirements into clear functional specifications. You will be responsible for analyzing and optimizing digital customer journeys, developing personalization strategies, and ensuring campaign effectiveness across all channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirements Elicitation and Documentation: Expertly gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders across marketing, data engineering, and product teams. Translate these requirements into clear, actionable functional and technical specifications that guide implementation teams.
- MarTech Stack Management: Demonstrate proficiency with Adobe Experience Cloud products, including Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, Adobe Campaign, Adobe Audience Manager, and Adobe Experience Platform (AEP). Leverage these tools to drive insights and optimization across digital marketing initiatives.
- Customer Data Platform Expertise: Develop comprehensive understanding of customer data platforms (CDPs), identity resolution processes, and data governance protocols. Ensure data integrity and seamless integration across all customer touchpoints.
- Ad Tech Integration: Possess working knowledge of ad tech integrations including LiveRamp, clean rooms, and data onboarding solutions. Understand how to effectively leverage first-party, second-party, and third-party data for targeted marketing campaigns.
- Digital Journey Optimization: Analyze and optimize digital customer journeys, personalization strategies, and campaign effectiveness. Identify opportunities to improve user experience and drive measurable business outcomes.
- Stakeholder Management: Effectively bridge the gap between marketing, data engineering, and product teams. Build strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders and serve as the primary point of contact for MarTech-related inquiries and initiatives.
- Documentation and Research: Conduct thorough research and author both functional and technical documentation with precision. Maintain comprehensive records of system configurations, processes, and best practices.
- Executive Communication: Create and deliver executive-level presentations that communicate complex technical concepts to business audiences. Translate data insights into actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
- Compliance and Privacy: Ensure robust understanding of data privacy and compliance regulations including GDPR and CCPA as they pertain to MarTech and customer data. Implement best practices to protect consumer privacy while maximizing marketing effectiveness.
- Strategic Contribution: Contribute to both strategic planning and practical implementation of MarTech solutions. Collaborate with leadership to identify emerging technologies and innovative approaches to customer engagement.
Essential Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar capacity within digital marketing, ad tech, or MarTech environments.
- Strong proficiency with Adobe Experience Cloud products, including Adobe Campaign, Adobe Audience Manager, and Adobe Target.
- Comprehensive understanding of customer data platforms (CDPs), identity resolution processes, and data governance protocols.
- Knowledge of ad tech integrations such as LiveRamp, clean rooms, and data onboarding solutions.
- Expertise in eliciting, documenting, and translating business requirements into clear functional specifications for technical and marketing teams.
- Ability to conduct thorough research and author both functional and technical documentation with precision.
- Proven experience creating and delivering executive-level presentations.
- Skilled in analyzing and optimizing digital customer journeys, personalization strategies, and campaign effectiveness.
- Strong stakeholder management capabilities, effectively bridging the gap between marketing, data engineering, and product teams.
- Solid understanding of data privacy and compliance regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) as they pertain to MarTech and customer data.
- Collaborative and forward-thinking approach, contributing to both strategic planning and practical implementation.
- Exceptional communication skills, with an aptitude for conveying complex technical concepts to business audiences.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify process gaps, recommend solutions, and champion the adoption of MarTech solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following skills and experiences would be highly valued in candidates:
- Experience with additional Adobe Experience Cloud products such as Adobe Experience Manager and Adobe Experience Manager Assets.
- Knowledge of additional Marketing Communication platforms including Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Airship Experience Cloud, Braze, Zeta Global, ActionIQ, Treasure Data, Hightouch, or Tealium.
- Familiarity with MarTech enablement tools such as Branch, Knak or Stencil, Persado, or Movable Ink.
- Understanding of identity resolution and data enrichment services including Acxiom and Data Clean Rooms.
- Experience working with first-, second-, and third-party data in integrated marketing contexts.
