As a Senior Engineer, you'll play a critical role in supporting the maintenance and operation of aircraft and related equipment. What You'll Do

As a Senior Engineer at arenaflex, your responsibilities will span a wide range of technical and leadership activities. Here's what you can expect:


  • Training and Mentorship: Conduct training for Engineers in area(s) of expertise, sharing your knowledge and helping develop the next generation of aviation professionals. You'll serve as a guide to other Engineers, offering technical guidance and career support.
  • Project Leadership: Serve as team leader/facilitator over project management or issue resolution initiatives. You'll coordinate with manufacturers and regulatory authorities as required, ensuring that Engineering practices are properly validated according to applicable regulations and Company manuals.
  • Technical Procedure Development: Develop customized methods and special instructions for repairs, alterations, inspections, adjustments, and other maintenance activities that are not adequately addressed in existing manuals. Your solutions will directly impact aircraft safety and operational efficiency.
  • Operational Support: Stay informed about daily airline operations within your field of responsibility. Review daily needs according to aircraft/departmental objectives and management directives, ensuring that engineering support aligns with operational demands.
  • Issue Analysis and Resolution: Analyze aircraft/component issues that may cause flight delays or cancellations, significant expenditures in labor or materials, or breaks in maintenance operations. Determine appropriate corrective actions to restore aircraft to service quickly and safely.
  • Technical Assistance: Provide Engineering support as needed for disposition of discrepant situations affecting aircraft or parts to restore serviceable status. Respond to requests from Maintenance and other airline divisions when technical support is needed to assist operations or resolve issues.
  • Project Planning: Develop action plans for fleet/multi-fleet and/or component engineering projects and pursue definitive dispositions according to assessed needs. Coordinate with other airline divisions as needed to accommodate effective and efficient execution of engineering practices.
  • Documentation: Prepare Engineering documents to implement technical practices by providing customized methods for repairs, alterations, inspections, or other maintenance activities that provide benefits according to aircraft/departmental objectives and management mandates.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain knowledge of current and upcoming regulations that affect areas of responsibility. Ensure that all Engineering activities maintain compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, keeping our operations safe and legally compliant.
  • Continuous Improvement: Use available resources to increase levels of technical expertise and practical experience on an ongoing basis. Endeavor to improve communication skills, time management, and other personal characteristics relevant to maximum effectiveness and efficiency in performing assigned duties.
  • Team Engagement: Actively engage with frontline colleagues and management equally, building strong relationships across departments and fostering a collaborative work environment.

All You'll Require for Success

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:


  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering field or related Engineering permit

  • Experience: 1 year of engineering experience in a related field OR 2 years of experience without a degree

  • Certification: A&P (Airframe and Powerplant) license is required

Skills, Licenses, and Certifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following:


  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and other productivity tools. You'll need these to create reports, track projects, and communicate effectively across the organization.
  • Analytical Abilities: Ability to analyze technical data and make data-driven decisions. You'll be working with complex technical information daily, and the ability to interpret this data accurately is crucial.
  • Adaptability: Demonstrates aptitude, ability, and willingness to take on new roles and responsibilities. The aviation industry is constantly evolving, and we need engineers who embrace change and new challenges.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to prepare/deliver presentations that advance acceptance of proposals. You'll need to communicate complex technical concepts to various audiences, from frontline technicians to senior management.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to connect with internal and external customers effectively. Building strong relationships is key to success in this role.
