Position Overview: Health Advocate

Are you a natural communicator who is passionate about helping others improve their health and wellbeing? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where every day brings new opportunities to make a positive impact? If so, we invite you to consider joining our Health Advocacy team at arenaflex.

As a Health Advocate within our Healthy Results Team, you will play a pivotal role in connecting with Medicare members through multiple channels—both digital and telephonic—to encourage and inspire healthy behaviors. Your mission will be to ensure that every member fully understands the benefits available to them under their Medicare plan, particularly regarding essential health screenings, medications, and preventive care services.

This is a fully remote position that offers flexibility while allowing you to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Medicare beneficiaries across the country. You'll be the bridge between healthcare providers, health plans, and the members we serve, ensuring that no one falls through the cracks when it comes to their health and wellness.

Key Responsibilities

As a Health Advocate at arenaflex, your responsibilities will be diverse and meaningful. Here's what you can expect:

  • Member Outreach and Engagement: Conduct inbound and outbound calls to Medicare members who may benefit from specific healthcare services, including preventive health visits, screenings, vaccinations, and prescription refills. You'll be the friendly voice that reaches out to help members close gaps in their care.

  • Barrier Identification and Resolution: Actively listen to identify barriers that prevent members from receiving necessary healthcare services. Use your motivational interviewing skills to provide solutions and facilitate access to care.

  • Exceptional Member Support: Treat every member with professionalism, respect, and empathy. Ensure all questions are thoroughly answered or properly escalated to ensure resolution.

  • Care Coordination: Serve as a liaison between members, health plans, physicians, and pharmacies. Help coordinate care efforts to ensure seamless healthcare experiences.

  • HEDIS Quality Initiatives: Support Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) quality improvement initiatives by collecting member-reported information in our CRM system to support clinical record chasing and documentation.

  • Health Education and Guidance: Provide members with the right information at the right time to help them make better decisions about their health and healthcare options. Empower them to take control of their wellbeing.

  • Personalized Member Interactions: Engage, counsel, and educate members based on their unique needs, preferences, and understanding of available services.

  • End-to-End Accountability: Take complete ownership of the member experience and deliver exceptional support throughout their entire journey with arenaflex.

  • Issue Resolution: Serve as a single point of contact for member questions and concerns, resolving issues efficiently and escalating to leadership when necessary.

  • Resource Navigation: Guide members through various programs, tools, and resources available to them. Help them navigate the healthcare system with confidence.

  • Documentation and Tracking: Accurately report and track all member contacts, events, and outcomes through appropriate systems and processes.

  • Professional Relationship Building: Build trusting relationships with both internal teams and external members/constituents through effective communication skills.

  • Multi-Tasking Excellence: Handle multiple functions and products while maintaining and exceeding performance standards.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:
