- *Job Summary**
As an Experienced Full Stack Financial Aid Consultant, you'll work closely with institutional staff to conduct operational reviews, prepare assessment reports, and create improvement plans using a quality assurance approach. Your expertise will be instrumental in identifying and addressing financial aid compliance and operational issues, and you'll have the opportunity to serve as an acting director of financial aid, middle management duties, and/or perform standard day-to-day financial aid processing tasks.
- *Primary Duties and Responsibilities**
- Collaborate with clients to identify and address financial aid compliance and operational issues through improvement plans, which may include serving as an acting director of financial aid, middle management duties, and/or performing standard day-to-day financial aid processing tasks.
- Conduct in-depth research on complex regulatory issues and provide concise analysis and recommendations to clients.
- Conduct operational reviews and prepare comprehensive reports of findings, highlighting areas for improvement and recommending corrective actions.
- Lead training sessions on financial aid issues individually or in groups, ensuring that clients have the knowledge and skills needed to navigate complex regulatory requirements.
- Create project plans and manage software implementation or configuration to ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
- Develop documentation of completed work, including assessment reports and improvement plans, to ensure transparency and accountability.
- *Job Requirements/Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as higher education administration, finance, or a related field.
- Five to seven years of progressive financial aid experience, with a strong understanding of federal and state financial aid regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to organize and deliver training sessions, either individually or in groups, to ensure that clients have the knowledge and skills needed to navigate complex regulatory requirements.
- In-depth knowledge of federal and state financial aid regulatory requirements, including the Higher Education Act and the Federal Student Aid Handbook.
- Experience with automation and major financial aid information systems, including Banner, CampusVue, Datatel, PeopleSoft, PowerFAIDS, and/or other major student information systems.
- Demonstrated strong writing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear, concise recommendations.
- Skilled user of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Three or more years of experience with Banner, CampusVue, Datatel, PeopleSoft, PowerFAIDS, and/or other major student information systems preferred.
