We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Database Administrator to join our team at arenaflex. As a key member of our data management and cloud application development team, you'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-performance database systems that drive business growth and innovation.   • *Key Responsibilities**

As a Full Stack Database Administrator at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:

  • Investigating and resolving daily database and application issues
  • Collaborating with the documentation of existing frameworks and architectures
  • Supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of standards and procedures for data integrity, backup and recovery, and data security
  • Designing and implementing high-availability solutions for SQL Server, including clustering, replication, and mirroring
  • Collaborating with application teams to resolve database issues and optimize database performance
  • Installing and configuring server-based applications in collaboration with system administrators
  • Installing and managing new software, updates, and fixes
  • Developing and implementing best practices for stored procedures, triggers, packages, tables, and views
  • Optimizing database performance by analyzing and tuning stored procedures, creating indexes, and modifying database configurations
  • Designing and maintaining enterprise-level ETL processes using various ETL tools, including SSIS, .NET scripting, and T-SQL
  • Performing database maintenance tasks and generating system reports
  • Developing and implementing security models
  • Participating in application development cycles to ensure good database design and access procedures
  • Designing, implementing, and testing backup and recovery procedures for all production databases
  • Monitoring databases for performance and periodically upgrading databases for optimal performance during planned downtime
  • Creating and managing tuning parameters to improve performance
  • Determining volumetric conditions to estimate new database sizes and plan accordingly for growth
  • Communicating plans to system administrators
  • Responsible for the security of database systems and all business/logical applications associated with it, including creating and maintaining database and application accounts, application/database fixing, and database/application security auditing
  • Item checking for performance and security, participating in load test exercises
  • Other duties as assigned
  • *Requirements**

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Strong experience with client-server technology
  • Working knowledge of SQL Server
  • 5+ years of experience as a SQL DBA in a big business, multi-site SQL Server environment
  • Middle to advanced skills with SSIS and T-SQL
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as organizational and analytical skills
  • Readiness and demonstrated ability to provide the highest level of customer support
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Services and migrating databases to cloud environments
  • Reporting Services (SSRS) and Analysis Services (SSAS) experience is a plus but not required
  • Experience with .NET scripting (C# or VB.NET) and PowerShell is a plus but not required
  • Experience in the Automotive Industry is a plus but not required
  • Experience in CRM systems is a plus but not required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate directly with both customers and vendors
  • Strong math and analytical skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve applications that interact with databases
