As a Part-Time Statistics Analyst I, you'll be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of sports data on our various platforms. You'll work closely with our data and research team to identify and resolve data discrepancies, and you'll use your analytical skills to help us create engaging stories and insights that our fans love. This is a part-time position that requires a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• *Key Responsibilities**

• Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of sports data on our various platforms, including television broadcasts, websites, and mobile apps.
• Work in individual settings and in groups to deliver precise and timely data analysis, clock-and-score, and other metrics and information that power a wide range of ESPN products and productions.
• Create and maintain a working knowledge of Data and Research's role in fueling ESPN's digital products and television productions.
• Review the results of your own work and that of others; perform with a consistently high level of quality and attention to detail.
• Contribute to production, projects, and initiatives across the newsroom, and assist newsroom leaders who are managing full- and part-time staff.
• Anticipate potential issues, both short-term and long-term, and propose possible solutions. Communicate quickly and clearly with colleagues on these issues.
• Play a proactive role in working with colleagues to create or refine production processes.
• Be an active participant in team and division meetings.
• Seek and respond to feedback on personal performance.
• Stay up-to-date on current office policies and procedures.

• *Required Capabilities**

• Working knowledge of teams, players, and the rules of various sports.
• Full-time availability, which will include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to quickly learn production processes that produce or maintain sports data that drives ESPN's digital and television products.
• Capacity to achieve a high level of content accuracy in time-sensitive production circumstances.
• Ability to communicate confidently - verbally and in writing - to production managers and colleagues about production issues and opportunities, often in the midst of a busy newsroom.

• *Preferred Capabilities**

• 1+ years of experience working in sports or data analysis, ideally in media.
• Knowledge of how sports data is used in media and for research purposes.
• Working knowledge of ESPN products and productions.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and other Office tools.
• Experience leading or training a team.
• Ability to speak and write Spanish.
• Experience using social media in a business or news environment.
