Data Engineering at arenaflex is a role that requires building frameworks to handle data efficiently and presenting the data to enable analysis. These solutions can range from team data pipelines that bring business metrics to life to continuous processing services that integrate with our core product features. Additionally, we require our Data Engineers to have a deep understanding of large-scale distributed systems on which our data solutions run. Candidates should have expertise across a few of these areas of skill and ideally be strong in at least one. As a Data Engineer, you will also need to have excellent collaboration skills since you will work with business, engineering, and data science teams to foster a culture of learning.

• *About the Role**

We are looking for candidates who will be based in Los Gatos, California, as well as fully remote candidates (located in the US with occasional visits to Los Gatos) depending on the team your skills align with.

• *Who We're Looking For**

• You're passionate about writing clean code, and you're comfortable learning new technologies on the fly
• You're proficient in at least one major programming language (e.g., Java, Scala, Python) and open to working with SQL
• You enjoy helping teams push the boundaries of logical insights, creating new product features using data, and fueling AI models
• You have expertise in at least one of the following: distributed data processing or programming of data services, or data modeling
• You're familiar with large data technologies like Flink or Spark and open to working with web-scale datasets
• You have an eye for detail, great data intuition, and an enthusiasm for data quality
• You value the importance of excellent documentation and data investigation skills
• You're a team player and embody many of the principles of the arenaflex Culture. You love working independently while also collaborating and giving/receiving real-time feedback

• *Our Compensation Structure**

Our compensation structure consists solely of a yearly salary; we don't have bonuses. You select every year the amount of your salary you want in compensation versus investment opportunities. To determine your own top-of-market pay, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific work family, background, skills, and experience to determine your salary in the market range.
