- *Job Summary**
As an Experienced Full Stack Data Center Technician, you'll be responsible for installing, servicing, and maintaining arenaflex's IT infrastructure in a 24/7 environment. You'll work closely with our internal teams and external vendors to ensure the high availability and reliability of our data centers. Your strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills will enable you to troubleshoot complex issues, document technical procedures, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- *Key Responsibilities**
- Install, service, and maintain arenaflex's IT infrastructure in a 24/7 environment
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues, including hardware and software problems
- Document technical procedures and maintain accurate records of data center activities
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure high availability and reliability of data centers
- Perform cable installations, hardware rack/stack installations, testing, and troubleshooting using standard data center processes
- Physically assist in moving and racking devices
- Support deployment of webpage data center physical infrastructure, including servers, NetDevices
- Support parts/element substitute and physical hardware troubleshooting
- Assist data center Inventory and Asset Management Team with shipping/receiving and stock control to support high work volumes
- Lead through change by bringing clarity, producing energy, and delivering results
- *Essential Qualifications**
- Minimum 3-6 years of associated experience in IT infrastructure support
- Associate's degree in computer science or related field
- Strong technical certifications, such as BICSI Installer I or equivalent, Server+, Linux+, Network+, ITIL, Linux/Unix Certification, or related experience
- Experience helping IT devices or associated IT experience
- Working knowledge of physical IT infrastructure components
- Experience running macOS, Windows, Linux
- Experience running diagnostics, and firmware updates, to clear up hardware/software problems
- Experience running with network protocols and concepts
- Experience with Linux command line script
- Experience troubleshooting optical connectivity problems
- Experience using cable analyzer, smart network tester, and OTDR
- Experience using an Incident/Change request application
- Experience using network and data center-planning tools
- Experience installing in-cabinet, uplink, and based cabling solutions
- Experience with network structure layout and installation
- Experience with move practical collaboration and coordination among teams and team members
- Ability to engage with internal clients as well as vendors
- Ability to create and update technical documentation
- Ability to assist general standing, walking, lifting, and working at heights
- Responsible for ensuring government regulatory compliance, OSHA, EHS, and other similar programs with guidance from their control team
- Valid license to drive common street-licensed computerized transmission vehicles within local jurisdiction
- Experience running heavy-load motion devices up to 50 lbs (pallet jacks, chassis lifts, etc.)
- Flexibility to work non-business hours (shifts) which may include weekends and/or holidays
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
