Position Overview: Field Service Manager
As a Field Service Manager at arenaflex, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our In-Flight Operations division. You will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and developing large teams of flight attendants to ensure they meet and exceed performance standards in key areas including safety, reliability, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.
This position requires a visible and approachable leader who can build positive relationships with both crew members and senior management. You will serve as the primary point of contact for flight attendants at your assigned base, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback to drive continuous improvement and team engagement.
Key Responsibilities
As a Field Service Manager at arenaflex, you will be responsible for:
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams of flight attendants through ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance management. Foster a positive team culture that encourages engagement, accountability, and adaptability.
- Performance Management: Oversee team performance on key performance indicators (KPIs) including safety compliance, operational reliability, customer satisfaction scores, and financial targets. Implement recognition programs and corrective actions as needed to maintain high standards.
- Employee Relations: Build positive relationships with crew members and base leadership to maintain workforce engagement, responsibility, and flexibility. Serve as a trusted resource for employees addressing concerns, questions, and career development opportunities.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with uniform standards, operational procedures, and customer service expectations. Address quality assurance issues proactively and implement improvements to enhance overall team performance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with base support staff, various departments, and internal/external stakeholders including the Flight Attendant Union Representative Group to provide information and solutions for continuous improvements in base operational needs and staff or administrative issues.
- Leadership Flying Program: Participate in the leader flying program, which includes observing on-board customer and employee engagement while supporting the flight attendant team during flights.
- Communication: Proactively respond to and follow up on time-sensitive matters and competing needs requiring base communication, input, and feedback. Maintain regular communication with the remote flight attendant workforce from the base location.
- Operational Support: Provide essential support to flight attendants before, during, and after flight operations. Serve as the primary contact and support for assigned projects within the base and/or division.
- Safety & Compliance: Practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and methods. Promote health, wellness, and a safe work environment. Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements.

What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Leadership Experience: Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Previous experience in employee authority skills is essential.
- Multi-tasking Skills: Ability to handle multiple and shifting priorities in a high-speed and constantly changing environment.
- Confidentiality: Must have the ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism, discretion, and tact.
- Problem-Solving: Proven strong problem-solving skills in a high-pressure, time-critical environment.
- Coaching & Feedback: Experience in training and delivering feedback for developmental purposes.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal interpersonal skills, with solid organizational and time management abilities.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in standard Microsoft Office applications.
- Flight Attendant Certification: If not currently flight attendant qualified, must successfully complete initial flight attendant training and maintain qualifications.
- Education: Bachelor's degree required.
- Location: Must be willing to work in Boston, USA.

While not required, the following qualifications will strengthen your application:
- Two years of experience in In-Flight Administration or flight operations management.
- Three years of arenaflex experience or equivalent external supervisory experience.
- Advanced degree (Bachelor's or Master's) in a related field.
- Working knowledge of internal arenaflex-specific applications and systems.
- Previous experience in performance management and employee relations.
- Strong familiarity with union relationships and collective bargaining processes.
