We're seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our Specialty Pharmacy team in Florida. As a Pharmacy Service Representative, you'll provide telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy, ensuring seamless coordination and processing of new patient medication orders and reorders. Your exceptional communication skills, compassion, and genuine care for patients will make a significant impact on our patients' lives.
- *Key Responsibilities**
- Provide telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy, ensuring timely processing of new patient medication orders and reorders
- Verify and reverify benefits, translate and enter new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system, and communicate with patients to collect copay amounts
- Obtain authorizations, work with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and defer orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues
- Demonstrate superb communication skills to effectively interact with insurance companies, patients, and internal partners to ensure the processing of specialty medications in a timely manner
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure financial and clinical expectations are met prior to fulfillment
- *Essential Qualifications**
- One year of experience in a customer service role handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs over the phone
- One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications
- One year of computer keyboarding experience, skills, and aptitude
- Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent

- Pre-existing healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology
