  • *Job Summary**

We're seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy team. As a key member of our team, you'll provide telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy. You'll be responsible for the overall coordination and processing of new patient medication orders and reorders, including verifying and revivifying benefits. You'll also help our patients with translating and entering in new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system, communicating and collecting copay amounts, obtaining authorizations, and working with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and/or internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and defer orders that have accounts receivable or clinical issues.

  • *Responsibilities**
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy over the phone
  • Coordinate and process new patient medication orders and reorders, including verifying and revivifying benefits
  • Translate and enter new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system
  • Communicate and collect copay amounts from patients
  • Obtain authorizations from insurance companies and healthcare providers
  • Work with internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and defer orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues
  • Demonstrate superb communication skills to effectively interact with insurance companies, patients, and internal partners
  • Meet financial and clinical expectations prior to fulfillment
  • *Requirements**
  • One year of experience in a customer service role handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs over the phone
  • One year of work experience with Windows-based applications like Windows, Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications
  • One year of computer keyboarding experience, skills, and aptitude
  • Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent
  • *Preferred Qualifications**
  • Preceding healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and demonstrating compassionate, genuine care for patients and customers

  • Candidates must reside in Florida and within 75 miles of the Specialty location below:

  • + 11:30am - 8pm EST+ 12:30pm - 9pm EST
  • *Compensation and Benefits**
  • The typical pay range for this role is $17.00 - $25.65 per hour
