  • *Key Responsibilities**

As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for:

  • Answering incoming calls and assisting callers with inquiries, including:
  • + New business (quotation/payment status)+ Renewals (payment/issuance status)+ Endorsements (processing status/evidence of insurance requests)+ Inspections+ Deficiency letters+ Cancellations/non-renewals+ CEA (payment/policy/quotation status)
  • Performing daily assigned work with primary emphasis on call center activities
  • Researching and resolving customer or broker questions/problems
  • Handling agency licensing tasks (registering new brokers, address changes, agency mergers, etc.)
  • Following up with other departments to resolve problem files
  • Inputting data in a desktop database for all incoming calls
  • Assisting customers at the front desk when necessary
  • Distributing faxes and other correspondence to the department
  • Facilitating the processing of evidence of insurance requests as required
  • Participating in individual and group training designed to improve service
  • Performing additional duties or special projects as assigned
  • *Essential Qualifications**

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • High school diploma and basic computer skills
  • 1 year of insurance experience (coverage knowledge) and customer service/call center experience
  • Good communication skills with emphasis on phone skills
  • Good interpersonal skills (both internal and external) and the ability to work well in a team environment
  • Ability to perform slightly varied moderately complex tasks
  • Occasional decision-making and judgment
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Sound decision-making skills
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

  • Previous experience in the insurance industry
