We're seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative I to join our team on a seasonal basis. As a key member of our Customer Service department, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional support to our customers through various channels, including inbound and outbound calls, emails, web chats, and back-office services. Your primary focus will be on ensuring customer satisfaction, resolving complex issues, and adhering to established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

  • *Key Responsibilities**

As a Customer Service Representative I, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting customers in submitting and processing origination and disbursement transactions, as well as creating and submitting documents on their behalf.
  • Assisting customers with award origination and disbursement processing, identifying and resolving processing issues, and providing guidance on batch edits and errors.
  • Providing monitoring support and outreach for batch processing issues and errors, edit code rejects, issue follow-up, and resolution as requested.
  • Logging cases, updating existing cases, and recording each phone, email, or web chat communication with a customer in our web-based agent desktop application.
  • Performing manual linking and unlinking of award records and promissory/agreement to serve notes.
  • Analyzing COD borrower data integrity situations identified by customers and providing support to resolve these issues.
  • Researching and confirming COD processing status of data, such as promissory notes, batch status, entrance counseling, exit counseling, borrower, grant recipient, borrower-servicer information, etc.
  • Executing support services in compliance with processing and program guidelines published by arenaflex.
  • *Essential Qualifications**

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A High School Diploma or GED
  • 0-2 years of call center experience or 0-2 years of customer service or public relations experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong listening ability to interpret and clarify information being provided by customers
  • Strong commitment to providing quality service
  • Ability to foster a good working relationship and rapport with customers
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Unwavering dedication to customer satisfaction and resolving customer concerns
  • Ability to convey enthusiasm, energy, and sincerity over the phone
  • *Preferred Qualifications**

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Experience working in a customer-facing role, particularly in a call center or customer service environment
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software and web-based applications
