Position Overview: Customer Engineer

Key Responsibilities
As a Customer Engineer at arenaflex, you will be entrusted with a variety of critical responsibilities that drive customer adoption and satisfaction:
- Technical Solution Development: Design and architect comprehensive cloud solutions that address customer requirements, demonstrating how arenaflex platform capabilities can solve specific business challenges and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Customer Engagement: Lead technical discussions with customers and prospects, understanding their infrastructure needs, application architectures, and strategic objectives to recommend optimal cloud solutions.
- Solution Presentations: Prepare and deliver compelling product messaging, technical presentations, whiteboarding sessions, and product demonstrations that effectively communicate arenaflex's unique value propositions and competitive advantages.
- Proof of Concept Development: Create and manage technical demonstrations, proof-of-concept environments, and pilots that showcase the capabilities and benefits of arenaflex cloud solutions.
- Integration Architecture: Analyze and recommend integration strategies, project designs, platforms, and application infrastructure required to successfully implement complete cloud solutions.
- Technical Consultation: Serve as the primary technical resource for sales teams, providing expert guidance on solution positioning, competitive differentiation, and technical scoping of customer opportunities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product marketing, engineering, and product management teams to stay current on industry trends, provide customer feedback, and contribute to product improvement initiatives.
- Travel Requirements: Travel to customer sites, conferences, and industry events as needed (up to 25% of the time) to build relationships, conduct workshops, and support customer implementations.
- Thought Leadership: Develop technical content including white papers, solution guides, and best practices documentation that educates customers and advances their cloud journey.
- Technical Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot key technical issues, provide workarounds, and ensure customer challenges are addressed promptly and effectively.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field. Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
- Technical Sales Experience: Demonstrated experience in technical pre-sales, solutions engineering, or a customer-facing technical role within a cloud computing environment (IaaS, PaaS, or SaaS).

- Large-Scale Infrastructure: Experience with large-scale VMware solutions and enterprise virtualization environments.
