About This Role: Customer Service Champion & Cashier
As a Customer Service Champion at arenaflex, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the customer experience. You may be the first, last, and sometimes the only interaction a customer has with our brand, making your role absolutely essential to our success. This position offers competitive compensation at $25 per hour with full-time employment benefits. You'll work approximately 8 hours per day, with opportunities for flexibility during our busiest periods, including evenings, weekends, and holiday seasons. We currently have openings available in Texas, and we're excited to welcome new talent to our local communities.
Key Responsibilities
As an integral member of our front-end services team, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding customer service while managing various tasks efficiently. Here's what you can expect in this role:
Cashier & Checkout Operations
- Greet every customer with a warm, genuine smile and express sincere gratitude for choosing arenaflex
- Process customer transactions quickly and accurately, ensuring all items are scanned properly and prices are correctly applied
- Handle cash, credit, debit, and electronic payment methods with precision and integrity
- Count cash back accurately and provide proper change to customers
- Bag items properly, considering item weight, temperature sensitivity, and customer preferences
- Maintain a clean, organized checkout area at all times
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently and troubleshoot basic technical issues
- Process returns, exchanges, and refunds according to company policies
- Assist customers with locating items, checking prices, and answering product-related questions
- Promote additional services and products when appropriate to enhance the shopping experience
Customer Support & Assistance
- Respond promptly and courteously to all customer inquiries and concerns
- Resolve customer issues with professionalism, empathy, and effective problem-solving skills
- Assist customers with special requests, including large item handling, accessibility needs, and VIP services
- Provide product information, recommendations, and comparisons to help customers make informed purchasing decisions
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless customer service across all store areas
- Support fellow team members and cross-train in different store functions as needed
- Maintain thorough knowledge of store layout, product locations, and current promotions
- Collect customer feedback and report suggestions for service improvements
Stocking, Logistics & Facility Support
- Assist with unloading delivery trucks and transporting merchandise from the parking lot to sales floors
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and electric jacks to move products safely
- Stock shelves, displays, and inventory areas with fresh merchandise throughout your shift
- Ensure stockroom organization and maintain accurate inventory counts
- Clean and maintain bathrooms, sales floors, and parking lot areas as needed
- Ensure all areas meet arenaflex's high standards of cleanliness and safety
- Maintain a positive, professional attitude regardless of weather conditions or challenging situations
- Follow all safety protocols and report any hazards or concerns immediately
Required Qualifications
We're looking for candidates who bring enthusiasm, reliability, and a strong work ethic to our team. While we provide comprehensive training, certain baseline qualifications help ensure success in this role:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred; however, we value real-world experience and positive attitudes just as much as formal education. Equivalent experience will be considered.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members

- Physical Ability: Capability to stand for extended periods (up to 8+ hours) and perform repetitive motions
