- *Job Summary:**
We're seeking an experienced BPM Systems Application Administrator to join our team at arenaflex. As a key member of our IT department, you'll be responsible for the setup, support, and coordination of various IBM Business Process Management (BPM) frameworks, as well as other related systems. You'll work closely with our architects and other technical teams to design and implement new systems, ensuring that they meet the needs of our business.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Arranges, implements, alters, and tests software/hardware; copies and records software/hardware defects; and reviews and interprets error logs and source codes to analyze errors.
- Creates and records technical requirements for projects/developments.
- Makes and maintains technical design documentation and identifies which applications are affected by the implementation and related interfaces.
- Drives service through planning, creating, executing, supporting, and reporting project plans, standards, rules, monitoring services, arrangements, setups, and systems.
- Explores, analyzes, and suggests changes required for system development by using industry-standard monitoring and research tools.
- Recognizes potential opportunities for streamlining, increasing efficiency through continuous process improvement.
- Manages/virtual and physical servers including: server provisioning, upgrading, installing, monitoring, maintaining, and performance enhancement.
- Identifies, creates, executes, reviews, and changes process enhancements, systems, and controls to ensure data accuracy, security, and compliance with laws and regulations.
- Performs practices, cycles, and systems consistent with arenaflex's data security policy and IT standards.
- Upholds and maintains various Middleware Conditions.
- Installs, configures, and monitors all BAW/BPM, Application Server, and web server systems.
- Ensures flexibility and performance of IBM BAW/BPM applications.
- Works with Architects to implement and maintain system design.
- Creates and delivers code to the required operating systems.
- Participates in effective post-implementation activities.
- Makes and maintains technical design documentation and identifies which applications are affected by the implementation and related interfaces.
- Suggests and follows security management practices, including continuous development of awareness of current threats, inspection of server logs, and other security management processes.
- Executes practices, cycles, and methodologies consistent with arenaflex's data security policy and IT standards.
- Explores, suggests, and creates innovative, automated approaches for system administrators tasks.
- Investigates infrastructure issues, particularly with BPM or webserver applications.
- Assesses system determinations, input and output cycles, and operational boundaries for hardware and software compatibility.
- Monitors load tests, performs sends, reviews logs, and other tasks maintaining the IT environment.
- Upholds and maintains various conditions.
- Delivers project-based work to agreed-upon deadlines. Advises project director and designer of any barriers.
- Works with vendors, business, and application development groups, and other technical teams to address project issues.
- Seeks opportunities to learn, automate, report, share, teach, and improve processes.
- Adheres to corporate security guidelines and best practices.
- *Requirements:**
- At least 2-3 years of BPM Systems Application Administrator experience.
- 2+ years' experience with BAW/BPM.
- Familiarity with UNIX/Linux RHEL 7 or 8 operating system utilities.
- Experience with Prophet, DB2, and the installation and support of middleware technologies.
- Knowledge of at least one Web Server, such as IBM WebSphere or Apache.
- Framework monitoring tools/dashboards/scripts information like Dynatrace, Splunk, or Application Elements.
- Familiarity with framework setup and organization of Scene.
- Familiarity with DocuSign setup and maintenance.
- Knowledge of Instana monitoring tools.
- Knowledge of Application setup tools, like Udeploy.
- Automation Preplanning like Powershell or Python.
- Participates in rotating on-call to provide 24x7 emergency support and is available to appear on Saturday or Sunday as well as holidays, as needed.
- Available for occasional weekend support.
- *Preferred Qualifications:**
- Experience with IBM Cloud.
- Experience with IBM Cloud Toolchain.
- Collaborative person – friendly, informative, open, helpful, honest, smart, and committed.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Works with and coordinates resources from different teams and support vendors.
- Demonstrated history of "getting things done".
- Strong hierarchical and time management skills with ability to perform multiple tasks and focus on work really in a fast-paced work environment.
