Position Overview
We are currently searching for an information-driven, meticulous Examination Director to join our Analytics team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting our paid media analysis capability to surface data-driven strategic opportunities for the Executive Initiative team. Your primary focus will be on optimizing the effectiveness of our paid media spend globally.
You will work closely with marketing teams to identify ways to improve the efficiencies of our paid media spend and develop reporting and analyses to frame and drive decisions. Additionally, you will develop KPIs and scorecards to track performance, ensuring a relentless focus on results and execution. This role offers the chance to play a pivotal part in supporting strategic decision-making by creating and communicating custom reporting and analyses that will inform our paid media strategy.
Key Responsibilities
As the Manager of Analytics at arenaflex, you will be entrusted with a variety of responsibilities that will challenge your analytical abilities and strategic thinking. Your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Delivering Reporting and Insights: Produce comprehensive reporting and insights in the area of paid media, ensuring that all deliverables are accurate, timely, and aligned with business objectives.
- Analysis and BI Development: Plan, build, and lead the development of analysis, business intelligence, and data science forecasts with the goal of optimizing paid media performance and improving marketing efficiencies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the paid media data science team and marketing teams on implementing media mix models to better allocate resources and maximize ROI.
- Ad-Hoc Investigation: Conduct special investigations through database querying, followed by astute interpretation of results and the reporting and communication of recommendations that drive actionable outcomes.
- Team Partnership: Serve as a trusted partner with marketing, finance, and data product teams to address business challenges and track marketing and product performance using a data-driven approach.
- Technical Reporting: Leverage Structured Query Language (SQL), MicroStrategy, Tableau, Excel, and other reporting tools to create and maintain scheduled and ad-hoc reports that provide real-time visibility into performance metrics.
- Root Cause Analysis: Analyze data to identify business issues and conduct deep-dive investigations to perform root cause analysis, identifying underlying patterns and opportunities for improvement.
- Insight Generation: Collaborate with stakeholders to utilize data from internal sources (including data from Perceptible and arenaflex systems) as well as external data from market research and advertising agencies to address complex business challenges by delivering meaningful insights.
- Customer Behavior Analysis: Conceptualize and run analyses that generate insights on customer behavior and customer needs to help further develop and improve our value proposition.
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and demonstrate proven expertise in their respective areas:
- Industry Experience: Demonstrated experience in the field of Business Intelligence, Analytics, or Consulting in an e-commerce environment or related field.
- Advanced SQL Proficiency: Strong expertise in writing complex SQL queries, including joins, subqueries, window functions, and performance optimization.
- Visualization Tools Expertise: Advanced experience with at least one industry-leading analysis and statistics visualization tool (such as Tableau, QuickSight, or PowerBI).
- Excel Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel with a proven track record of creating complex models, pivot tables, and analytical dashboards.
- Educational Background: A degree in Data Science, Business, Economics, Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics, or another related field from an accredited institution.

- Analytics Platforms: Knowledge of Adobe Analytics or similar digital analytics platforms.
