About the Business Region

Our Actuarial Association at arenaflex is dedicated to providing business leaders with decisive thought organization and end-to-end accountability for business results. We are deeply committed to developing leaders who specialize in managing risk in an increasingly complex healthcare environment. As a Statistician within arenaflex, you will leverage strong analytical skills, business acumen, and a deep understanding of human behavior to support critical initiatives related to rating, retention, estimation, data analysis, competitive intelligence, healthcare trend analysis, and business results tracking.

What You'll Do

Throughout your journey in the Actuarial Development Program, you will experience four comprehensive rotations that will immerse you in key business areas. Each rotation is designed to provide you with exposure to the following critical domains:

• Risk Assessment: Understand the concept of specific risks and present analysis results to management with clarity and insight.


• Rate Filing: Organize and analyze filing data, then prepare and submit essential presentations for regulatory filings.


• Reserve Analysis: Examine claim data and monitor reserve levels for viability while demonstrating a thorough understanding of actuarial reserving methods and issues.


• Planning and Forecasting: Provide technical support and analysis for planning, estimating, and reporting processes.


• Pricing, Trend and Benefit Design: Develop and recommend pricing and trend strategies for products and benefits.


• Technical Capability: Foster innovative technical solutions for various challenges. Demonstrate proficiency with spreadsheets and knowledge of database and online applications. Create and execute appropriate tools and models. Develop and document business requirements and specifications for processes, tools, and systems.

Work Environment and Flexibility

arenaflex follows a hybrid work model that provides employees with the flexibility to alternate between working in the office and telecommuting based on the work you need to accomplish. This approach allows you to collaborate in-person when meaningful connection is needed while also enjoying the benefits of remote work when appropriate. For candidates who need to relocate more than 50 miles from their current residence, relocation assistance will be provided to ensure a smooth transition to your new role.
