About the Role

As a Ramp Agent at arenaflex, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our passengers' baggage and cargo arrive safely and on time. This position is designed for individuals who are physically active, enjoy working outdoors in various weather conditions, and take pride in contributing to seamless travel experiences for millions of passengers.

This is an entry-level position with tremendous potential for growth and advancement. Our experienced leadership team is committed to providing comprehensive mentorship and training to help you develop the skills needed to advance your career within the organization. Many of our senior managers and supervisors began their careers in entry-level positions just like this one.

Key Responsibilities

As a Ramp Agent, you will be responsible for a variety of critical operational tasks that keep our airport operations running smoothly. Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Baggage and Cargo Handling: Safely lift, load, dump, and transport baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft. This involves physically handling luggage and freight weighing up to 50-70 pounds throughout your shift.

  • Aircraft Positioning: Coordinate the efficient arrival and departure of aircraft by directing incoming and outgoing planes to and from gate positions, ensuring timely connections and departures.

  • Cargo Protection: Safeguard all baggage, items, and mail from damage, loss, and adverse weather conditions. Your attention to detail ensures that every piece of cargo reaches its destination in pristine condition.

  • Ground Equipment Operation: Safely drive and operate ground support equipment including tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in high-traffic areas of the airport.

  • Technology Utilization: Operate baggage scanning equipment and computer systems to ensure accurate routing of baggage to its intended destination.

  • Safety Compliance: Practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures, maintaining our commitment to zero accidents and incidents.

  • Weather Adaptation: Perform duties in various weather conditions including heat, rain, snow, and wind, demonstrating resilience and adaptability.

Work Schedule and Environment

Our operations run around the clock, which means your schedule may include early morning shifts, day shifts, evening shifts, or overnight shifts depending on operational needs. Each airport station has a unique flight schedule, so your specific shift times will be determined based on the demands of your location.

You will work between 20 and 40 hours per week, with the possibility of overtime during peak travel seasons. This position requires you to be on your feet for extended periods, walking, standing, bending, and lifting throughout your shift. The work is physically demanding but incredibly rewarding.
