About the Role

As a Customer Engineer supporting our Cloud Security Services business at arenaflex, you'll be instrumental in growing our cybersecurity portfolio by building and strengthening relationships with both new and existing enterprise clients. This role sits at the intersection of technical expertise and client advocacy—you'll be a trusted advisor to C-Level executives, Security Leaders, Cloud Security Architects, and Security Engineers alike.

Your primary responsibility will be guiding clients through their security journey, helping them identify the right technology solutions and providing expert advice on the most effective ways to secure their cloud infrastructure while maintaining compliance with industry regulations. You'll leverage both your technical knowledge and business acumen to drive projects forward, always with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes.

In this role, you'll collaborate closely with our Security Sales team, Product Management, and Engineering groups to stay ahead of industry trends and continuously improve our security offerings. Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Engineer at arenaflex, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:


  • Business Development Support: Work collaboratively with Security Sales and arenaflex Cloud teams to identify and qualify new business opportunities. You'll analyze client technical requirements and compliance concerns, developing strategies to overcome technical challenges and objections that may arise during the sales process.
  • Technical Expertise & Demonstration: Maintain advanced knowledge of arenaflex Cloud Security products and solutions. You'll demonstrate and validate the value proposition of our security offerings in client and partner environments, providing hands-on technical guidance and building strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.
  • Client Engagement: Support arenaflex Cloud Security opportunities by owning the technical aspects of deals. This includes delivering compelling technical presentations, product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept demonstrations, and interactive demos to clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Solution Messaging: Craft and deliver product messaging that highlights the unique value of our security solutions. You'll utilize various methods including whiteboard sessions, slide presentations, product demonstrations, white papers, trial management, and Request for Information (RFI) response documents to effectively communicate our value proposition.
  • Industry Presence: Represent arenaflex at client sites, conferences, and industry events. You'll serve as a technical expert and brand ambassador, building relationships and establishing arenaflex as a leader in cloud security solutions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise with Product Marketing and Engineering teams to stay current on industry trends, gather client feedback, and contribute ideas for product improvements that will benefit our clients and strengthen our market position.
  • Client Success Advocacy: Guide clients in discovering the best technology solutions for their specific needs, providing expert advice on implementing security best practices and achieving regulatory compliance. You'll drive results with empathy and identify innovative ways to scale the impact of your work across the entire team.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:


  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)

  • At least 2 years of experience in security or cloud-native models in a client-facing or technical sales engineering role

  • Hands-on experience with cybersecurity concepts including threat detection, malware analysis, cloud security posture management, or identity and access management systems

  • Strong public speaking skills with the ability to deliver technical presentations to diverse audiences

  • The ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with both technical and business stakeholders

  • A passion for cybersecurity and staying current with emerging threats, attack frameworks, and security best practices

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, these qualifications will help you stand out:


  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field

  • Industry certifications in Cloud or Security (such as CISSP, CCSP, AWS Security Specialty, or equivalent)

  • Experience implementing enterprise security solutions including threat detection and hunting, malware analysis, cloud security posture management, or identity and access management

  • Knowledge of broad product and market trends in the cybersecurity industry, including ransomware protection, attack frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK), zero trust architecture, and compliance frameworks

  • Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills

  • Experience working with enterprise clients in consultative sales or technical sales engineering roles

  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2, PCI-DSS)
