This position is a vital part of our Payments and Digital Operations team within arenaflex Credit Union. The Member Services Representative role is responsible for daily operations related to check processing, item handling, direct deposits, and wire transfers. You'll be working in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and member satisfaction are paramount.

What You'll Do

As a Member Services Representative at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for a wide range of financial operations tasks. Your daily responsibilities will include:


  • Performing comprehensive data entry and reconciliation functions with precision and accuracy

  • Coordinating returned items with members, external vendors, the Federal Reserve, and other financial institutions

  • Assisting different departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and related general ledger reconciliations

  • Working assigned cases/exercises and completing all tasks within established timeframes

  • Following and maintaining policies and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA rules and regulations and Federal Banking regulations

  • Processing loan payments, multi-record and member deposits, credit card payments, and various checks including IRA, bankruptcy, and estate checks

  • Reviewing, analyzing, and approving Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other image-enabled products

  • Logging, researching, and making necessary GL, account changes and/or returns

  • Processing Stop Pays and Check Truncation

  • Completing daily reconciliation and branch closing procedures

  • Acquiring information from members for timely and accurate processing of international and domestic wire transfer requests

  • Researching and verifying incoming and outgoing wire transfer information

  • Communicating with vendors to handle fund transfers

  • Understanding and being aware of outgoing and incoming wire transfer regulations

  • Processing check returns, researching member returned check draft adjustments, processing member checks, verifying members for social security transfers, and Federal Reserve verifying and releasing wire transfers

  • Completing daily processing of workflows related to late returns, source of receipts, foreign collections, and legal fees

The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and confidentiality of all account and related information necessary for their work and for ensuring that their work is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act.

What You'll Need for Success

Minimum Qualifications


  • Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word

  • Experience: Previous experience in a related field is preferred but not required

Preferred Qualifications


  • Previous member/customer service experience in a financial services environment

  • Previous banking or Credit Union experience

  • Familiarity with Episys/Symitar systems and processing wires

  • Understanding of NACHA regulations and Federal Banking compliance requirements

Required Skills and Competencies


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) acquired through either work experience with the software or training and hands-on use of the software

  • Ability to work extended hours as needed to support business needs

  • Ability to exercise excellent customer service skills and maintain professionalism under pressure

  • Ability to act in a fast-moving environment, handle multiple tasks, and function as an essential part of a team

  • Ability to perform numerical calculations and analyze data with accuracy

  • Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines under high volume pressure

  • Ability to be cross-trained and perform any role assigned within the department

  • Ability to communicate professionally with all employees and members

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Ability to self-motivate with strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to maintain good performance and attendance

  • Must pass appropriate arenaflex and Credit Union pre-employment compliance checks
