Adjunct Faculty, Human Resources and Talent Development

The College of Professional Advancement of Mercer University invites applications for an Adjunct Professor of Human Resources to teach undergraduate courses in the B.S., Human Resources and Talent Development degree program. The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for student learning, a commitment to evidence-based instruction, and the ability to engage learners through interactive and applied teaching strategies in an online environment.
Qualifications:
Required:
· Must be a resident of the state of Georgia;
· Master’s degree or higher in Human Resource Management (18 graduate hours), or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
· Demonstrated professional practice in HR
· Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
· Technical proficiency required to deliver course content in the online environment.
Preferred:
· SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or other recognized HR certifications
· College-level teaching experience (online).
· Familiarity with HR technology platforms, analytic tools, or employment law applications.
· Commitment to student-centered and practice-oriented teaching
- Responsibilities:
- Teach undergraduate courses in human resources including Employee Compensation and Benefits, Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning, Human Resources Information Systems and People Analytics, and Ethical and Legal Environment of HR
- Develop and deliver course materials that align with departmental outcomes and university standards.
- Foster a supportive and engaging learning environment for students in an online setting.
- Assess student learning through a variety of formative and summative methods.
- Participate in course-level assessments and maintain accurate academic records.
- Incorporate innovative teaching tools, case studies, and real-world applications into the curriculum.
