Structural Designer

R.E. Warner and Associates, Inc. is seeking a Structural Designer responsible for performing standardized assignments and extracting design data. The role involves routine design tasks, producing sketches, and ensuring compliance with design standards.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine layout and design tasks for routine projects
• Learns to and assists others in obtaining field measurements
• Produces sketches and system schematics for routine design tasks
• Incorporates design concepts into design development and works with project team to produce construction documents
• Coordinates clearances with other design professionals
• Selects details which will be used on projects
• Documents existing conditions and performs some troubleshooting
• Edits technical specifications sections
• Reviews drawings and documents to ensure compliance with firm design and production standards
• Uses computer programs and spreadsheets for engineering presentations

Skills

• Technical or Associates Degree in applicable design disciplines from an accredited technical institution or college required
• 1+ years of previous design training or experience required
• MUST be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder
• Valid Drivers' License required
• Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and Revit
