About the role
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Blockchain team, you will play a key role in architecting, building, and maintaining Paxos’ blockchain infrastructure and applications. You’ll use your deep technical expertise and hands-on skills to deliver secure and scalable solutions, collaborating closely across functions to help shape our technological direction and execute complex projects.
What you’ll do
Design, develop, and maintain mission-critical issuance systems that support tokenized assets across multiple blockchains.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, compliance, and infrastructure to define system architecture and technical requirements.
Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of our issuance services through best practices in software design, testing, and deployment.
Optimize existing issuance infrastructure to enhance performance, reduce latency, and improve operational efficiency.
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Stay informed about emerging trends in blockchain, distributed systems, and financial technology to drive innovation within the team.
Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical decision-making processes.
About you
5+ years of software engineering experience, with proven track record of delivering complex technical solutions
Proven experience working in the crypto / blockchain industry, with a solid understanding of key concepts, market landscape, and ecosystem participants
Strong expertise in building scalable backend services and RESTful APIs
Experience with modern web technologies and cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)
Track record of writing clean, maintainable code with comprehensive test coverage
Strong understanding of security best practices and experience building secure systems
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to break down complex requirements into manageable tasks
Experience with workflow engines and state management systems is a plus
Knowledge of regulatory compliance and KYC/AML processes is a plus
Demonstrated experience using AI tools to improve how you work
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
