You'll work collaboratively with both IT teams and business colleagues to provide guidance on how to safely handle sensitive data. • Managing Data Security Instruments: Oversee data security tools including patching, upgrading, troubleshooting, testing, and report generation to ensure optimal performance and protection.
• Monitoring Data Loss Prevention: Audit data loss prevention alerts within target timeframes to quickly identify and respond to potential security incidents.
• Maintaining Protection Software: Keep data protection software upgrade schedules current to test and continually improve our technical solutions against emerging threats.
• Resolving Security Incidents: Address data loss alerts by implementing remediation strategies and protective controls to minimize impact and prevent recurrence.
• Optimizing Detection Solutions: Test and tune data identification solutions to reduce false positives while maintaining high detection accuracy. Follow regulatory change procedures to minimize risk of adverse consequences.
• Implementing New Features: Create frameworks to investigate, test, and deploy new features within our existing tool sets.
• Developing Advanced Monitoring Methods: Foster innovative methods using regex, AI, fingerprinting, and dictionaries to monitor unique and emerging data types.
• Collaborating with Business Units: Partner with different areas of the business to document known business processes that handle sensitive information and provide best practice recommendations.
• Ensuring Compliance: Guarantee existing business processes meet data security best practices, validate processes, and propose security improvements. Implement proposed enhancements across the organization.
• Conducting Discovery Scans: Collaborate with the business to conduct discovery scans to identify sensitive information. Review results with data owners and provide guidance on how to securely store that information.
• Evaluating Infrastructure: Audit existing network architecture, engineering, and policies and assess overall deployment against industry best practices.
• Building Cloud Solutions: Evaluate and develop new data protection solutions in alignment with cloud requirements. Operationalize these solutions to deliver value to the business.
• Implementing Cloud Security: Execute protective controls in the cloud environment to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data.
• Communicating Security Concepts: Effectively convey data security concepts to non-technical business leaders to drive awareness and compliance across the organization.

**What You Need to Succeed** To excel in this role at arenaflex, you'll need:

• Experience: At least 2 years of experience working with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) technologies, including a solid understanding of how data in motion, data at rest, and data in use is monitored.
• Technical Expertise: Strong technical knowledge of security models, system configurations, policies, and best practices.
• Cloud Experience: Experience designing and automating data security strategies for cloud environments, including AWS.
• Data Protection Knowledge: Familiarity with securing both structured and unstructured data.
• Solution Implementation: Hands-on experience working with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions, Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) solutions, and data classification solutions.
• Endpoint Management: Experience with managing devices using solutions in Microsoft Intune.
• Regulatory Understanding: Comprehension of regulatory frameworks such as PCI (Payment Card Industry) and GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).
