They are seeking a Software Engineer to join the Virtual Appraisals Team, responsible for enhancing the internal claims platform and automating processes to improve efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Build new feature workflows for Snapsheet's operations team
- Create dashboards to provide insights into the effectiveness of our projects and workflows
- Contribute to technical design processes and provide improvement suggestions and feedback
- Play an influential role in growing Snapsheet to be the industry leader in technology
- Work in an agile environment and participate in weekly stand-ups, retrospectives, etc
- Proactively challenge scopes, flag issues, and suggest alternatives
- Collaborating with other engineers, product management, and design to identify and solve complex problems
Skills
- 1+ years of full-stack focused web development experience including:
- Building applications using React and Redux or a similar frontend framework
- Designing and building APIs
- Experience with relational databases, designing schemas, and writing performant SQL queries
- Experience with AWS infrastructure
- Understanding of scalability challenges and performance of server-side code
- Eagerness to learn from and work with a collaborative team
- Commitment to quality and passion for technology and creating cutting-edge solutions
- Ability to manage tasks and to contribute towards multiple initiatives during a sprint
- Prior experience using Ruby on Rails a plus
- BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field a plus
