About the Role
The Director of Data Analytics at arenaflex is a strategic leadership position that sits at the intersection of business intelligence, operational excellence, and team development. You will be responsible for coordinating our analytics initiatives to accomplish critical business objectives while delivering measurable monetary and quality outcomes. Key Responsibilities
As the Director of Data Analytics at arenaflex, you will:
- Lead Strategic Analytics Initiatives: Build and implement the analytical frameworks and methodologies that address key strategic issues across the organization. Develop innovative approaches that leverage our existing resources while creating new pathways for data-driven decision making.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the central point of contact for cross-functional teams and the primary liaison to partners in developing and executing strategic frameworks. Cultivate effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve designated goals and deliverables.
- Business Partnership: Partner cross-functionally to translate and define business needs for your area of responsibility. Execute against strategic objectives while developing the tactical roadmaps necessary to meet organizational goals.
- Strategic Planning: Develop both short-range and long-range strategies, plans, and meaningful goals aligned with arenaflex's overall business objectives. Manage the execution of policies, processes, and procedures that have significant impact upon the organization.
- Operational Excellence: Make recommendations for the strategic and operational plans of your designated area, then execute or modify operational plans based on prevailing business conditions. Ensure alignment between tactical activities and strategic vision.
- Executive Communication: Share complex information related to areas of expertise with senior leadership to keep them informed of objectives and progress. Communicate with direct reports and peers in management, clients, and vendors to interpret information and improve cross-functional processes.
- Relationship Building: Work with external vendors and third parties to develop and maintain positive relationships. Build and enhance both internal and external partnerships that support business objectives.
- Performance Management: Set financial, operational, and quality goals while developing and supervising operational plans for your area of responsibility. Ensure growth and improvement in customer awareness, market share, and designated initiatives.
- Market Analysis: Review the competitive marketplace and recommend adjustments to operational and strategic activities based on identified information. Keep arenaflex ahead of market trends and competitive pressures.
- Budget Oversight: May develop budgets for designated areas of responsibility and deliver against business goals and targets. Ensure efficient resource allocation and financial stewardship.
- Team Leadership: Direct teams responsible for everyday operations. Supervise and coordinate the work of managers, senior directors, and their subordinates. Ensure the ongoing training and development of direct reports while fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace environment.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
To succeed in this role, you must bring:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience establishing and maintaining strategic partnerships with internal (peers, colleagues, and leadership) and external (business community, clients, and vendors) stakeholders within a network organization to develop strategies that meet division objectives within budget and timelines.
- Demonstrated experience developing strategic initiatives that align with business objectives and budget constraints.
- Proven experience identifying operational issues and recommending and executing strategies to resolve challenges.
- Strong track record of driving cross-functional teams to successful outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills with experience presenting at the executive level.
- Experience managing client-facing programs that require strategic oversight and relationship management.
- At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace, including budget development and resource allocation.
- At least 2 years of direct management, indirect leadership, and/or cross-functional team leadership experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time for business purposes, both within state and out of state.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications will strengthen your application:
- Master's degree or MBA in a relevant discipline.
- Experience with advanced coding languages such as SAS, SQL, C++, Python, or R for statistical analysis and data manipulation.
- Experience with system integration platforms including Master Data Management (MDM), Vendavo, Vistaar, Salesforce.com, SharePoint, and collaborative tools.
- Proficiency with business intelligence tools for data analysis, including Business Objects, Cognos, Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Salesforce Administrator or Developer certification.
- Experience in training, coaching, and developing less senior team members.
- Experience designing and executing financial models to support complex business initiatives.
- Experience communicating with executive-level leadership both internally and to client organizations.
- Project management experience including planning, organizing, and managing resources to achieve specific project goals and objectives.
- Experience with systems such as Cure and GIS for specialized analytics applications.
- Strong background in data extraction, data mining, data acquisition, data profiling, data warehouse management, and statistical concepts.
