Position Overview: Behavioral Technician – Accelerated Program
As a Behavioral Technician at arenaflex, you will play a vital role in implementing personalized ABA therapy programs for children and adolescents on the autism spectrum. You will work directly with clients in their homes, providing one-on-one therapy under the guidance and supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Key Responsibilities
As a Behavioral Technician at arenaflex, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Direct Client Support: Provide one-on-one (1:1) in-home Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children and adolescents diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. You will work closely with each client to implement personalized treatment plans designed to address their unique needs and goals.
- Data Collection and Documentation: Collect accurate behavior and skill acquisition data during all therapy sessions. Maintain detailed records of progress, observations, and any changes in behavior or skill development. This data is essential for the BCBA supervisor to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Implementation of Treatment Plans: Conduct discrete trials, implement behavior support strategies, and follow established treatment plans created by the BCBA supervisor. Ensure consistency and fidelity in applying ABA techniques and interventions.
- Collaboration with BCBA Supervisor: Work collaboratively with your assigned Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) supervisor to implement the basic principles and teaching procedures of ABA therapy. Attend regular supervision meetings, seek feedback, and implement recommendations for improvement.
- Family Communication and Support: Be responsive to the needs and requests of clients, their families, and supervisors. Maintain open and professional communication with family members, providing updates on progress and answering questions about therapy techniques.
- Professionalism and Goal Orientation: Demonstrate strong professionalism in all aspects of your work. Be goal-oriented and committed to helping clients achieve their individualized objectives. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards at all times.

Work Schedule and Location
Most of our cases are scheduled during after-school hours to accommodate the needs of our families. As such, we are seeking candidates who have a flexible schedule and are available for morning, afternoon, and evening shifts. The position involves working in-home with clients in the Chattanooga, Tennessee area. You must have reliable transportation to travel to client homes within your assigned service area.

Qualifications and Requirements
Essential Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred, or currently working towards a degree in a related field such as Psychology, Education, Sociology, or Human Services.
- Experience: Minimum of one year of experience working with children in a one-on-one setting. This can include roles such as Direct Support Professional, Special Education Assistant, Paraprofessional, Teacher's Assistant, ABA Tutor, or similar positions in school or home-based settings.
- ABA Experience: At least one year of experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is preferred. If you do not have direct ABA experience, we welcome applicants with related experience in special education, autism support, or similar fields.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. You must be able to communicate effectively with clients, families, supervisors, and team members.
- Transportation: Personal means of transportation with a reliable vehicle is required. You must be able to travel to client homes within your assigned area.
- Schedule Flexibility: Must be available to work flexible hours, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings, with most cases occurring during after-school hours.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds when necessary.
- Capability to perform activities requiring fine and gross motor skills.
- Ability to bend, kneel, squat, sit on floor level or in a chair, and stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to respond quickly in short distances (up to 100 feet) in response to the movements and behaviors of children.
- Willingness and ability to work in both indoor and outdoor settings as required by client needs.
