What You'll Do
As a critical member of our ground operations team, you'll be responsible for a wide range of duties that keep our flights running smoothly and our passengers satisfied. Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Travel Sales and Promotion: Advise and sell air travel options to the traveling public and cargo forwarders, providing information about routes, fares, schedules, and special promotions to meet customer needs.
- Passenger Check-in and Cargo Acceptance: Assist passengers with the check-in process, including issuing boarding passes, assigning seats, processing baggage, and handling cargo shipments with accuracy and efficiency.
- Regulatory Compliance: Interpret and apply government regulations and requirements for both domestic and international travel or freight shipments, ensuring all documentation meets legal standards.
- Flight Coordination: Meet and dispatch aircraft within established timeframes, coordinating with pilots, ground crews, and control towers to ensure on-time departures and arrivals.
- Customer Support: Provide assistance to distressed travelers and clients, handling complaints, rebooking flights, and offering solutions during disruptions with empathy and professionalism.
- Asset Protection: Safeguard company property and revenue by following security protocols, monitoring transactions, and preventing losses.
- Safety Assurance: Contribute to safe travel by verifying passenger information, ensuring compliance with security procedures, and maintaining a secure environment.
- Physical Requirements: Demonstrate the physical ability and expertise to perform various job-related tasks, including standing for extended periods, lifting baggage, and navigating airport facilities.
- Multitasking Excellence: Utilize strong organizational skills to perform multiple tasks within limited timeframes, managing priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Independence and Initiative: Be self-motivated and require minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of performance and accountability.
- Emergency Response: Respond and assist during security and emergency situations, following established protocols to ensure passenger and employee safety.
- Policy Compliance: Follow internal and external policies and procedures, maintaining consistency and professionalism in all interactions.
- Equipment Operation: May be required to drive and operate air stairs and various types of aircraft ground support equipment to enplane and deplane passengers safely.
- Team Leadership: Be accountable for overall performance within the workspace and may be expected to lead and direct the work of other employees.
- Communications: May perform Passenger Activity Control functions, including air-to-ground communications along with ramp operations capabilities.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience in customer service or hospitality will be considered.
- Language Skills: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language fluently is essential. Bilingual language abilities are preferred in certain locations and may provide additional opportunities.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license as required by local authorities for positions involving vehicle operation.
- Security Clearances: Must satisfy FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access credentials to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable. Must also obtain appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security identifications as required.
- Availability: Ability to work irregular and/or extended hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet operational needs.
- Reliability: Must report to work in a regular and timely manner, demonstrating dependability and commitment.
