Position Overview

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and analytically-minded Supply Chain Operations Manager to join our dynamic remote team. This pivotal role will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing our extensive store network processes, ensuring seamless product flow through our distribution network and fulfillment centers. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional analytical capabilities, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in supply chain management.

As a Supply Chain Operations Manager at arenaflex, you will serve as a critical link between our distribution centers, retail locations, and external partners. Your expertise will drive operational excellence, improve network efficiencies, and directly impact our ability to serve customers effectively. This is a remote position that offers flexibility while requiring strong collaboration with field teams and stakeholders across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

As an integral member of our supply chain leadership team, you will be responsible for:


  • Network Process Oversight: Oversee all store network processes and guarantee stock course through the delivery organization and satisfaction focuses by coordinating goal and addressing escalation of day to day issues with precision and urgency.
  • Data Analysis & Optimization: Analyze data from various partners to streamline and improve network efficiencies. Utilize advanced analytical techniques to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for operational improvement across the supply chain ecosystem.
  • Provider Compliance Management: Provide comprehensive data to the provider compliance process stream, ensuring all partners meet our rigorous standards for quality, timeliness, and performance metrics.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Investigate and analyze root causes of daily and escalated exceptions concerning transporting, receiving, stock management, and return related issues. Develop actionable insights and corrective recommendations for key stakeholders.
  • Performance Audits: Conduct execution audits of promoting department operations, distribution centers, and providers. Evaluate performance against established KPIs and develop improvement strategies.
  • Strategic Recommendations: Provide well-reasoned recommendations for corrective action to key partners, driving continuous improvement across all operational touchpoints.
  • Supply Chain Performance Optimization: Streamline production network execution by determining and supporting optimal flow channels from provider to store, specifically aligned with sales targets, in-stock requirements, and profitability measurements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitate collaboration between stakeholders in accordance with store network management objectives to guarantee sales growth, in-stock availability, inventory optimization, profitability, and strategic targets are achieved.
  • Movement Tracking: Comprehensive tracking of merchandise movement and arrival across the entire store network, ensuring visibility and accountability at every stage of the supply chain.
  • Exception Management: Identify request exceptions, disruptions, and supply chain constraints that will impact network performance. Develop and coordinate effective resolutions in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Field Leadership: Impact field-level heading and provide guidance for the execution of operations by serving as primary contact for field operations and conveying functional expectations to providers and carriers.
  • Performance Issue Resolution: Address performance-related issues with partners professionally and constructively, maintaining strong working relationships while driving accountability.
  • Stream Management: Tending to stream management questions and concerns, providing clear guidance and resolution pathways for complex operational challenges.
  • Best Practice Development: Identify best practices and educate teams on adaptation and implementation of these methodologies to improve overall operational effectiveness.
  • Resource Development: Collaborate with business partners to identify and develop resources that improve efficiencies and support operational goals.
  • Process Improvement Leadership: Lead supply chain flow process improvement efforts by contributing to the design, development, and delivery of innovative operational approaches between supply chain partners.
  • Presentation & Communication: Present operational improvement proposals and continuous improvement recommendations to senior leadership, effectively communicating rationale and expected outcomes.
  • Goal Achievement: Focus on product stream plan goals, ensuring all stream plans are achievable and aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Innovation Support: Support innovation initiatives to improve current solutions and techniques, embracing new technologies and methodologies that enhance operational performance.
  • Error Cycle Management: Manage the correction of error cycles and feedback loops, ensuring continuous learning and improvement across all processes.
  • Cost Optimization: Identify areas of opportunity to improve service levels. Support the use of end-to-end costing approaches and lean principles. Provide cost recommendations to reduce process waste and create opportunities for cost reductions and process efficiencies.
  • Impact Analysis: Review and analyze the impact and benefits of implemented changes on internal processes, measuring success and identifying areas for further improvement.
  • Project Management: Arrange, complete, and supervise work-related activities and projects by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strategic Planning: Support plans and initiatives to meet client and business needs, identifying and communicating clear goals and objectives.
  • Performance Measurement: Build accountability and measure progress in achieving results, utilizing key performance indicators to track success.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and address progress opportunities while demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning culture.
  • Team Development: Provide mentorship and development opportunities for partners by hiring and training; mentoring; assigning responsibilities; giving recognition; and ensuring diversity awareness throughout the team.
  • Compliance & Ethics: Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and support company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans.

Essential Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must possess:


  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in supply chain operations, logistics management, or retail operations

  • Demonstrated experience in data mining and data analysis with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights

  • Strong working knowledge of SQL for database querying and data extraction

  • Proficiency in business intelligence tools such as BigQuery, PowerBI, or similar platforms

  • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Tableau Prep

  • Experience with workflow automation tools such as Alteryx

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders

  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities

  • Proven track record of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and external partners

  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with the following background will be highly preferred:


  • Advanced degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, or MBA

  • Previous experience in retail or e-commerce supply chain operations

  • Certification in Supply Chain Management (CSCP, CLTD, or equivalent)

  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies

  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS)

  • Background in demand planning or inventory optimization

  • Experience managing relationships with third-party logistics providers
