Position Overview: Strategic Data Analyst & Analytics Consultant
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Strategic Data Analyst & Analytics Consultant to join our Strategy & Analytics team. This is an exciting opportunity for a data-driven professional who thrives on solving complex business challenges and transforming raw data into actionable insights. In this role, you will play a critical part in major research and assessment initiatives designed to understand our operations and provide strategic recommendations to enhance, improve, and optimize performance across all departments.
As a Strategic Data Analyst & Analytics Consultant at arenaflex, you will apply advanced analytical and technical skills, along with business and operational data expertise, to influence teams in solving complex business problems. You will demonstrate a deep understanding of the interaction amongst various areas within the organization and be capable of visualizing cohesive strategies that can be executed across multiple teams. This position requires strong expertise in data tools, business concepts, and operational strategies, along with the ability to prepare and present work to Senior Leadership with clarity and confidence.
This is a full-time remote position that offers flexibility and work-from-home convenience while maintaining engagement with our corporate culture and team collaboration. Key Responsibilities
As a Strategic Data Analyst & Analytics Consultant, you will be responsible for a wide range of analytical and strategic tasks that drive business improvement and operational excellence. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Research and Trend Analysis: Provide comprehensive research and assessment of industry trends while supporting the development of new strategies, processes, systems, and reports that align with organizational objectives.
- Data Tool Enhancement: Collaborate with various business units to understand, improve, and share available data tools, ensuring seamless integration and maximum utilization across the organization.
- Technical Skill Application: Leverage advanced technology skills including SQL, Alteryx, Python, R, Tableau, and Big Data Concepts to provide innovative solutions to business requests and challenges.
- Data Transformation: Transform raw data into easily understood, presentable, and actionable findings that drive strategic decision-making at all levels of the organization.
- Model Development: Participate in the development and improvement of analytical models and strategies, including supporting their implementation across different teams and departments.
- Technical Guidance: Facilitate and share technical guidance on ideas and topics to organizations throughout the business, serving as a subject matter expert and thought leader.
- Optimization Analysis: Conduct assessments using optimization and various analytical tools to create and examine scenarios providing insights into how different approaches perform under various conditions.
- Data Management: Utilize appropriate data management practices that include privacy standards and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and organizational policies.
- Additional Duties: Perform other analytical and strategic duties as directed by leadership, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following essential requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED is required. A bachelor's or master's degree in a related field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a similar discipline is preferred.
- Experience Level: Advanced level experience, seasoned and specialized knowledge in network planning or airline operations, data collection, applied data, business assessment, and presentation is required.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of SQL (Oracle, Teradata, PostgreSQL) is required. Experience with Alteryx or comparable data manipulation software and Tableau or other data visualization software is highly preferred.
- Microsoft Office Suite: Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is required. Ability to create sophisticated spreadsheets, dashboards, and presentations is essential.
- Authorization: U.S. citizenship or current authorization to work in the U.S. is required. No current or future work authorization sponsorship is available for this position.
Leadership Experience: Proven experience presenting to Senior Leadership and influencing strategic decisions through data-driven insights is required.
