Position Overview

We are currently seeking a forward-thinking and analytically inclined Strategic Commercial Planning Supervisor to join our growing Business Execution and Planning team. This pivotal role will be instrumental in driving subscriber growth, optimizing revenue performance, and ensuring we have clear, aligned targets across acquisition, marketing spend, retention, and other critical direct-to-consumer metrics.

As part of our European and African operations, you will collaborate closely with regional teams, brand and performance marketing professionals, country-specific trading leads, business development and strategy groups, as well as Finance and Analytics teams across the region and our headquarters in New York. Key Responsibilities

As a Strategic Commercial Planning Supervisor at arenaflex, you will play a crucial role in shaping our commercial strategy and driving business performance. Your responsibilities will include:


  • Planning Model Development: Support the development and maintenance of comprehensive planning models, including the annual operating plan model and monthly forecasting models. This includes creating executive-level summary views, streamlined calculations, and clearly identifying inputs and assumptions.
  • Strategic Planning Execution: Assist in the development of our annual strategy and manage the quarterly planning process alongside monthly and bi-monthly forecasting cycles. You will ensure alignment between strategic objectives and operational targets.
  • Business Case Development: Model business cases and scenarios to support decision-making regarding pricing strategies, go-to-market approaches, and monetization optimization initiatives across our streaming platform.
  • Performance Analysis: Conduct ad-hoc and in-depth analyses on drivers of performance from previous quarters, identifying trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement in our subscriber acquisition and retention strategies.
  • Regional Business Updates: Support in forecasting and preparing business updates for both European and US markets, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of key performance indicators.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with regional streaming capabilities, business development teams, Finance teams, local market groups, and US advertising sales teams to ensure cohesive planning and execution.
  • Insight Generation: Drive insights and decision-making processes to optimize subscriber growth and enhance overall trading performance across all markets.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following competencies and experience:


  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Analytics, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees or certifications in relevant disciplines are highly advantageous.
  • Analytical Expertise: Proven experience working in data-driven environments with a strong track record of driving decision-making through data analysis. You should be comfortable working with complex datasets and translating findings into actionable insights.
  • Numerical Proficiency: High numeracy skills with exceptional analytical capabilities and meticulous attention to detail. You must be capable of building robust financial models and performing accurate quantitative analysis.
  • Communication Skills: Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages appropriately for different audiences, including country teams, global stakeholders, and executive leadership.
