About the position
The Product Innovation Master Data Analyst is responsible for ensuring the timeliness,accuracy, consistency, and integrity of product-related master data throughout the product development and innovation lifecycle. This role plays a critical part in enabling data-driven decision-making and seamless product launches by coordinating with cross- functional teams including R&D, Marketing, Regulatory, Supply Chain, and IT.
- Responsibilities
- Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for product innovation master data across systems (e.g., PLM, ERP, MDM).
- Ensure data standards and governance policies are applied during the creation and maintenance of product master data for new product development (NPD) and innovations.
- Manage workflow for new products and product changes.
- Summarize workflow statuses to the Project Management team.
- Collaborate with Product Development, Regulatory, and Operations teams across the globe to gather and validate data requirements for new and modified products.
- Create and maintain product records in PLM and/or MDM systems, ensuring timely and accurate entry aligned with stage-gate or agile product development processes.
- Ensure synchronization across systems.
- Identify and resolve data quality issues and drive root cause analysis and preventive actions.
- Develop and maintain data KPI’s, SOPs and work instructions for master data processes supporting innovation.
- Participate in data quality audits, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support system enhancements and testing related to master data, including new integrations or data model changes.
- Serve as a liaison between the IT and business-focused sides of the enterprise.
- Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- High drive for results and willing to work in a demanding & rapid paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Excellent analytical, follow-up, and attention to detail skills.
- Excellent Excel Skills and knowledge.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word and PowerPoint).
- Nice-to-haves
- Beauty industry, retail background and/or product life cycle management preferred.
- System implementation experience a plus.
