Position Overview
We are currently looking for a motivated Specialty Pharmacy Technician to join our Transplant and Data Entry team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately entering prescription data, processing patient referrals, and facilitating communication between healthcare providers, insurers, and patients. This position requires a unique blend of technical proficiency, interpersonal skills, and a deep commitment to customer service.
As part of our specialty pharmacy team, you will handle complex prescriptions that often involve life-saving medications for transplant patients, oncology patients, and those with rare chronic conditions. Key Responsibilities
As a Specialty Pharmacy Technician at arenaflex, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Prescription Data Entry: Accurately input prescription information into our pharmacy management system, ensuring all data fields are complete and error-free. Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and prescription details to maintain database integrity.
- Transplant Pharmacy Support: Process prescriptions specifically related to transplant medications, collaborating closely with pharmacists to ensure proper dosing, drug interactions, and compliance with transplant protocols.
- Prescription Routing and Escalation: Route questionable or incomplete prescriptions to the pharmacist for review and resolution. Identify potential issues such as drug interactions, dosage errors, or missing information and escalate appropriately.
- Provider Communication: Make outbound calls and faxes to physician offices for prescription clarification, substitution requests, and formulary changes. Maintain professional and effective communication with healthcare providers to resolve prescription-related issues promptly.
- Patient Referrals: Process patient referrals for specialty pharmacy services, including intake, verification, and coordination of care. Ensure seamless handoffs between referring providers and arenaflex pharmacy teams.

- Customer Service Excellence: Provide outstanding customer service to patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers. Respond to inquiries via phone and electronic communication with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency.
- Quality Assurance: Adhere to all company policies, state pharmacy regulations, and HIPAA compliance requirements. Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of prescription processing.

Work Schedule and Environment
This position offers a predictable and stable schedule that supports work-life balance. You will work guaranteed 40 hours per week with operating hours from 8:00 AM to 7:30 PM, Monday through Friday. This role does not include weekends or holidays, providing you with consistent time off to recharge and spend with family and friends.

Required Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of experience working as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail, hospital, or specialty pharmacy setting.
- Certification: Must be certified as a Pharmacy Technician in the state of Georgia (or obtain certification within the required timeframe).
- Education: A verifiable High School diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
