Senior Social Worker - Remote

Our client is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Social Worker to join their fully remote community and social care team. This critical role focuses on providing comprehensive support and advocacy to individuals and families facing various social challenges. You will leverage your expertise to conduct assessments, develop care plans, connect clients with vital resources, and offer counseling and crisis intervention. The position demands excellent communication, empathy, and a strong understanding of social service systems, all while working effectively from a remote setting.

Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to identify client needs, strengths, and challenges. Develop and implement individualized service plans in collaboration with clients, ensuring goals are realistic and measurable. Provide direct counseling and therapeutic support to individuals, families, and groups. Facilitate access to community resources, including housing assistance, healthcare, mental health services, and employment support. Advocate for clients' rights and needs within various systems, such as healthcare, legal, and educational institutions. Provide crisis intervention and support during emergency situations, developing safety plans as needed. Maintain accurate and confidential client records in accordance with agency policies and legal requirements. Collaborate with other professionals, agencies, and community partners to coordinate comprehensive care. Stay informed about relevant social policies, legislation, and available community resources. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior social work staff and interns. Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and professional development activities. Promote a strengths-based, client-centered approach to service delivery. Contribute to program development and evaluation initiatives. Qualifications: Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from an accredited institution. LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker) or LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) credential required. Minimum of 5 years of post-graduate social work experience. Proven experience in case management, counseling, and crisis intervention. Strong knowledge of community resources and social service systems. Excellent assessment, interviewing, and diagnostic skills. Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and advocacy skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively in a remote environment. Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and other relevant software. Commitment to ethical practice and cultural competence. Experience working with diverse populations and addressing issues of social justice. Ability to maintain professional boundaries and handle sensitive information with discretion.
