What You'll Do

As the Senior Manager of Automation Engineering at arenaflex, you'll have the unique opportunity to directly influence automation project decisions and plans for each of arenaflex's global markets. Strategic Leadership & Business Development

• Directly impact automation project decisions and capital allocation strategies for arenaflex markets across multiple countries


• Build compelling, executive-ready business cases that clearly demonstrate the need for transformation and capital investment in automation assets


• Develop and present strategic presentations to senior leadership that secure approval for major capital expenditures


• Lead cross-functional initiatives to explore, design, approve, and implement technology solutions across stores, distribution centers, and fulfillment operations

Technology Innovation & Partnership Development

• Continuously discover and evaluate new automation technologies in the supply chain space


• Leverage arenaflex's Innovation Lab to test and vet emerging technologies and vendor solutions


• Assess technology fit with arenaflex operations and existing systems to ensure seamless integration


• Create mutually beneficial partnerships with external automation vendors to enable collaborative development of innovative solutions

Knowledge Transfer & Team Enablement

• Define and educate market teams and leaders on Automation Best Practices, including facility design, process flow, and end-to-end supply chain impacts (upstream and downstream)


• Develop and mentor market teams to identify operational requirements and successfully test, pilot, and scale new automation technologies


• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation across all global supply chain operations


• Establish working groups and create frameworks for knowledge sharing across different markets and regions

• Extensive Automation Experience: Demonstrated experience identifying automation solutions, designing applied process patterns, and creating detailed planning for automation solutions with proven success in overseeing installation into operations


• Supply Chain Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of material handling processes and automation solutions available across the industry


• Vendor Landscape Knowledge: Working knowledge of automation suppliers and their solution capabilities, with the ability to evaluate and select appropriate technology partners


• Cross-Functional Leadership: Ability to work with and influence internal leaders and engineering teams across different markets and cultures


• Strategic Partnership Skills: Capability to create mutually beneficial relationships with external automation vendors to enable collaborative innovation

Preferred Background

• Experience in large-scale retail, e-commerce fulfillment, or third-party logistics automation projects


• Background in international supply chain operations across multiple geographic regions


• Knowledge of emerging technologies including robotics, artificial intelligence, and augmented reality applications in logistics


• Experience with capital investment planning and ROI analysis for automation initiatives
