How You’ll Make An Impact

As the Sr. Director, Credentialing, you will play a critical role in advancing GBCI’s mission by leading the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of global credentialing and certificate programs. You’ll oversee the integrity, quality, and compliance of credentialing programs, ensuring alignment with industry standards and supporting market transformation through professional certification.

In this role, you’ll drive strategic and operational initiatives across credentialing programs, including program development, accreditation compliance, and cross-functional collaboration. You’ll lead a high-performing team and partner closely with Product, Marketing, Technology, Customer Service, and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable credentialing solutions.

You’ll report to the Chief Operating Officer and operate in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment.

    Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development, delivery, and maintenance of GBCI credentialing and certificate programs, ensuring high-quality outcomes and program integrity
  • Oversee a team of up to 10 employees, providing leadership, coaching, and performance management to drive team effectiveness
  • Ensure all credentialing programs meet accreditation standards, including ISO/IEC 17024 and ANSI compliance requirements
  • Manage the Credential Maintenance Program (CMP), including policies, guidance documentation, and program reporting
  • Drive new credential development initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time with clear milestones and outcomes
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Business Development, Technology, and Customer Service teams to support program delivery and growth
  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert and primary point of contact for credentialing programs
  • Manage vendor and consultant relationships, including contracts and deliverables
  • Oversee translation efforts for global credentialing programs
  • Develop and implement functional strategies, budgets, policies, and procedures aligned with organizational goals
  • Support governance activities by serving as staff liaison to the Credentialing Steering Committee and Board

Required Qualifications

    Experience
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in credentialing, professional certification, test development, or related field
  • Proven experience leading teams and managing complex programs or projects
  • Strong project management experience with demonstrated ability to deliver on timelines
    Education
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Master’s degree preferred (Business, Management, Educational Measurement, I/O Psychology, or related field)
    Technology/System(s)
  • Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel preferred)
  • Experience with credentialing or assessment platforms preferred
    Skills
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
    Certifications
  • PMP or related project management certification preferred

Salary

Final compensation and benefits will be confirmed at the time of offer and may vary based on factors such as internal equity, relevant experience, qualifications, and employment status. Please note that salary negotiations will not extend beyond the top of the internal salary range.

Location: This position is remote in the U.S.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM in your time zone

Travel %: 10% (industry conferences/events)
