What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities

As our Senior Data Architect for the Voice of the Customer platform, you'll play a pivotal role in transforming how we collect, process, and analyze customer feedback. Your technical expertise and strategic vision will directly impact our ability to deliver exceptional customer experiences worldwide.

Lead the Development and Maintenance of our new Voice of the Customer technique sourced from Cornerstone and integrated with the survey and dashboard platform hosted through Qualtrics, our primary survey vendor.

Collaborate Closely with Application Teams to define, build, and capture comprehensive business requirements that align with organizational goals.

Develop Deep Knowledge of Voice of the Customer methods and leverage this expertise to design and transform data within the Cornerstone Big Data Platform.

Design and Build Robust Data Model Architecture to support optimal data processing and standardized metric definitions across all customer touchpoints.

Enable Big Data and Batch/Real-Time Analytical Solutions using transformational technologies including Hadoop, HDFS, MapReduce, Hive, Spark, and Python to deliver innovative solutions ensuring data quality and accuracy through intensive testing at variable and use case levels.

Provide Technical Guidance to enhance capabilities and drive efficiency in computing programs using the Big Data ecosystem.

Power Consumer Story Analysis and Elaboration, design and development of software programs, testing, and build automation tools.

Proactively Identify and Automate Manual Tasks to improve quality and operational efficiency across the team.

Work Closely with Partners from various business units to prioritize, define, develop, and test data for different use cases as part of the VoC end-to-end methodology.

Interface with Product and Process Owners and subject matter specialists from Qualtrics and the Agile technology team to ensure seamless integration and delivery.

Required Skills and Qualifications

We're looking for a candidate who brings a proven track record of technical excellence and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have:

3+ Years of Hands-On Development Experience with Hive/Hadoop, PySpark, Python, Shell Scripting languages, along with development, launch management, and troubleshooting understanding for data-driven projects.

Strong Collaboration Skills with experience working alongside relationship managers and product owners to understand functional requirements and convert them into technical deliverables.

Agile Methodology Expertise with a thorough understanding of delivering small increments of a product at regular intervals to business groups.

Technical Proficiency in Big Data Technologies including but not limited to:
- Hadoop and HDFS (Hadoop Distributed File System)
- MapReduce processing frameworks
- Hive for data warehousing
- Spark for large-scale data processing
- Python for scripting and automation
- Shell scripting for system automation

Experience with Survey Platforms such as Qualtrics is highly desirable.

Understanding of Data Architecture Principles including data modeling, ETL processes, and data pipeline design.

Strong Problem-Solving Abilities with the capacity to troubleshoot complex data issues and ensure data quality and accuracy.

Excellent Communication Skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

While the following are not strictly required, they would be considered a significant asset:

Experience with cloud-based big data platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)

Knowledge of real-time streaming data processing frameworks (Kafka, Flink, or similar)

Background in customer experience analytics or Voice of the Customer programs

Experience working in a multinational or cross-cultural environment

Understanding of survey design and methodology

Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
