What You'll Do

As a Senior Data Analyst at arenaflex, you will assume a prominent technical role to help reveal data and insights while delivering exceptional business results. Working closely with our Product and Data Science teams, you'll be at the heart of our data-driven decision-making process. Here's what your responsibilities will include:

• Business Requirements Analysis: Grasp business information requirements and analyze business systems and processes. You'll help identify the most appropriate source for data that is fit for purpose, ensuring accuracy and relevance in every analysis you produce.


• Statistical Analysis & Research: Support the identification and use of statistical methods based on project requirements. You'll aid in the planning, design, and execution of exploratory data analysis research projects, applying rigorous analytical techniques to uncover hidden patterns and trends.


• Project Translation & Development: Translate business requirements into projects, activities, and tasks while developing specific artifacts. You'll identify appropriate methods and tools to provide solutions for complex business problems, working hand-in-hand with Data Scientists to bring projects to fruition.


• Data Visualization & Storytelling: Generate appropriate graphical representations of data and model results. You'll understand client requirements to design suitable data visualizations for various datasets, making complex information accessible and actionable for stakeholders across the organization.


• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product teams, Data Scientists, and business stakeholders to ensure analytical outputs align with strategic objectives and drive measurable business outcomes.


• Data Quality & Governance: Ensure data integrity and consistency across all analytical outputs, implementing best practices for data governance and quality assurance.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for a candidate who brings a unique blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and passion for problem-solving. To succeed in this role, you'll need:

Essential Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus but not required.


• Analytical Mindset: A passion for problem-solving with a strong analytical attitude, excellent critical thinking skills, and the ability to approach complex challenges with logical reasoning.


• Big Data Experience: Proven experience working with large datasets, finding insights, and telling compelling stories using data. You should be comfortable manipulating and analyzing massive volumes of information.


• Programming Proficiency: Strong coding and query skills in SQL, Python, or R for data analysis. You should be able to write efficient queries and scripts to extract, transform, and analyze data.


• Database Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of database technologies and distributed datastores, including SQL, NoSQL, BigData, and Cloud technologies such as Google Cloud Platform BigQuery.


• Visualization Expertise: Hands-on experience with visualization tools and best practices, including Looker, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the retail or e-commerce industry


• Familiarity with machine learning concepts and their business applications
